They damaged the car in which the couple were travelling, giving them a nasty fright. A photographer caught their shocked, open-mouthed expressions. In another photograph, the Duchess could be seen leaning forward as if she was about to cower on the floor, while her 62-year-old husband's face went fiery red with anger and alarm.
Other people know what it is like to be intimidated by aggressive behaviour in the streets after dark, but for the heir to the throne and his wife to experience such behaviour has not happened before in modern times.
If we look at the median household income in the U.S. this actually underplays the falling behind of wages because we are looking at households with multiple people working. Without a doubt the median wage is bolstered by two income families but when we break this out, we realize how challenging things have gotten for most Americans on a very personal level. You might even be one of these people (the odds are good that you individually make less than $40,000 per year given that 66 percent of individual Americans make this amount or less).
I was going thru WikiLeaks mirrors list, and noticed a small oddity; http://wikileaks.psytek.net was on netblock which belonged Central Intelligence Agency. It has now changed, but 010-12-08 12:27:34 (EEST) was still registered for CIA.
The first thing to understand is that Jeremy Marks touched no one during his "attempted lynching" of LAUSD campus police officer Erin Robles. The second is that Marks' weapon was the camera in his cell phone. The third is that Officer Robles' own actions helped turn an exceedingly minor wrongdoing — a student smoking at a bus stop — into a state prison case.
So far December has seen some of the coldest temperatures and heaviest snowfalls since 1981, but with no let up on the horizon, it could end up being the worst winter since 1910. Parts of northern England and central Scotland have seen lows of (0F) -18C while the mercury has continued to drop in the south. But apart from a brief respite over the coming weekend, when temperatures are expected to climb slightly, the cold snap is likely to continue throughout Christmas and well into January.
They are putting a brave face on it, but no matter how they try to dress it up, Chrish Huhne’s car crash has happended at Cancun, after 2 weeks of negotiating they have agreed just 1 paragraph. It is difficult to see what the future holds for the whole UN negotiating process now, after a failure at Copenhagen followed by the car crash in Cancun, international climate deplomacy is looking to be a pointless exercise. Even diedhard alamists like Connie Hedegaard sees no way forward:
Despite freezing funding for most aspects of the US government at 2010 levels, the US House agreed Wednesday evening to increase military aid to Israel substantially.
Webmaster's Commentary:
No government can serve two masters, and a government that serves Israel cannot serve the American people.
A friend to Israel is no friend of America.
America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third.

With the gold price hitting nominal highs last month, there is a lot of “mania” and “bubble” ranting going on in the gold community. Should we start selling?
Little information exists on the performance of x-ray backscatter machines now being deployed through UK, US and other airports. We implement a Monte Carlo simulation using as input what is known about the x-ray spectra used for imaging, device specifications and available images to estimate penetration and exposure to the body from the x-ray beam, and sensitivity to dangerous contraband materials. We show that the body is exposed throughout to the incident x-rays, and that although images can be made at the exposure levels claimed (under 100 nanoGrey per view), detection of contraband can be foiled in these systems.
Astronomers have discovered that a huge, searing-hot planet orbiting another star is loaded with an unusual amount of carbon. The planet, a gas giant named WASP-12b, is the first carbon-rich world ever observed. The discovery was made using NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope, along with previously published ground-based observations.
A major law firm knew it sometimes had no reliable evidence of unlawful filesharing when it demanded hundreds of pounds damages from internet users, according to the solicitors' watchdog.
The number of people on food stamps keeps hitting new all-time highs; as of September, nearly 43 million people were using the program, according to figures out this week.
Webmaster's Commentary:
One cannot look at these figures and say the words "US economic recovery" with a straight face.
The greatest critic of fiat currency perhaps anywhere in the world is about to take control of a congressional panel that would conduct oversight on the US Federal Reserve bank.
This could get interesting. Webmaster's Commentary:
Let's hope Ron Paul has his Kevlar undies close to hand!
