Lebanon War III, if it breaks out – God forbid! – threatens untold destruction on both sides. Lebanon War II will look, in comparison, like a picnic. This time, all Israeli towns and villages will be within range of Hezbollah’s rockets.
Ethan Jacobs, J.D. -- Activist Post Introduction:
Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated April 4, 1968, shortly after he started speaking out against the global elite and the injustice they inflict on all of humanity though orchestrated wars and economic oppression. He believed that "a nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death."[1] While King may not physically be with us today, we are fortunate that he left us with powerful principles and tools for defeating tyranny. King, Gandhi and many others have set the precedent for our liberation, proving that courage, love, persistence, and some simple tools are ultimately victorious...

Thousands of activists from left-wing movements and human rights organizations marched in Tel Aviv on Saturday in protest of the Knesset's decision to set up a committee of inquiry to probe the funding sources of leftist groups. Meretz MK Nitzan Horowitz spoke during the rally and said that no one should be surprised if the inciting words against Israeli human rights groups will turn into actions and that the persecution will turn into knife blades and bullets.
January 15, 2011 marks the 20th year since the United States began to bomb Iraq. Since then millions of Iraqi people have been militarily occupied, injured, starved, killed, tortured, and imprisoned. Millions more have become internally displaced or refugees in other countries.

A group of unidentified gunmen in southwestern Pakistan have set ablaze 20 NATO tankers carrying oil to US-led soldiers stationed in war-hit Afghanistan.
According to some witnesses, unidentified armed men on Friday night opened live ammunition on tankers at a time when the drivers were inside a roadside restaurant near Dera Murad Jamali in Balochistan province in southwestern Pakistan, a Press TV correspondent reported on Saturday.
There were no reports of casualties in the incident, but witnesses said the flames of fire spread to a nearby restaurant and a shop. The assailants were seen fleeing the area in their cars, but no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Witnesses have pointed to the late arrival of the police forces at the time of the attack.

“It was a major mistake by Greenspan,” said Goodfriend, who attended some of the 2005 meetings as a policy adviser to the Richmond Fed. “It gave markets a sense that the Fed was on top of everything to a degree that wasn’t the case. It gave the impression that this was a mechanical adjustment to normality. The market was overconfident.”

When bipartisanship breaks out in Washington DC, check to make sure your wallet is still in your pocket. Every time you fill up your car this winter you are participating in the biggest taxpayer swindle in history. Forcing consumers to use domestically produced ethanol is one of the single biggest boondoggles ever committed by the corrupt brainless twits in Washington DC. Ethanol prices have soared 30% in the last year as the supplies of corn have plunged. Only a policy created in Washington DC could drive up the prices of gasoline and food, with the added benefits of costing the American taxpayer billions in tax subsidies and killing people in 3rd world countries.
We have been covering rising food prices extensively for the last two months and it seems the mainstream is catching on. Food inflation and possible food riots are very real. In fact, we are already seeing food riots in the third world. Mountain House Foods is reportedly running short on most of their food supplies due to an unknown government agency purchasing a huge amount of their product. Our government is clearly stocking up, are you?
As the human right to food continues to be violated in the U.S., birds falling to their death on swanky Sunset Boulevard were stuffed into jackets of the City of Angel’s poor and hungry or barbecued onsite Friday. Bird suicides have rocked the world as they have fallen in California, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Missouri as well as other countries such as Sweden, Romania, New Zealand and Italy. Some of the birds, such as those fallen in Italy, show signs of poisoning, a blue tinge on their beaks. Nevertheless, when excessively hungry, people eat anything they can, as witnessed in America – from the Gulf of Mexico coastal communities where people are eating recently poisoned fish – to Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles this Friday.

What would life be like in America if these laws were enforced
Sometimes we need to laugh to stay sane
The new feudalism is not being built openly but in secret; society is to be reorganized gradually and without any fanfare. But it is difficult to conduct a pan-social reconfiguration under the bright lights of electronic scrutiny. The Tea Party in America and the austerity riots in Europe are but two examples of the Internet's impact in our view. And just yesterday, protests flared in Tunisia, with much of the organizing apparently taking place on Facebook as occurred previously in Iran. Signs of the new feudalism are widespread; but because of the 'Net, its imposition remains somewhat problematic.
In the past, during the depression, there was a plot to overthrow Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was exposed and neutered. Could something like that happen again?
Maybe it doesn't have to, what with hawks already in control of Congress, major media outlets, the military and poised to slash the power of unions and curb progressive social programs including public education. Several writers believe that if and when fascism comes to America it will be packaged in a friendly form tied to beneficial advertising slogans and public interest messaging. It will be sold, 1984, style as being unavoidable, even cool, and in our best interest. Louisiana's infamous Senator Huey Long, a mesmerizing agitator, once said, "Fascism will come to America in the name of anti-fascism."

A United Nations tribunal is to indict Iran's spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with ordering the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, U.S. news website Newsmax reported on Saturday, adding that the hit itself was planned executed by Iran's Revolutionary Guards in collaboration with Hezbollah.
The order was then reportedly passed on to Hezbollah military leader Imad Mughniyeh by the head of the IRG's Quds force, Qassem Suleymani. Upon receiving the order, Mughniyeh and brother in law Mustapha Badr al-Dine allegedly put together an assassination squad.
The report also alleges that both Syrian President Bashar Assad and the head of Syrian intelligence and brother in law Assef Shawkat were also involved in the operation.
Protests against Vice President Joe Biden’s visit and the ongoing US military presence in general were reported in a number of cities in Iraq, with supporters of Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr getting the credit for organizing many of them.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki
Protesters urged the US to withdraw its remaining 50,000 troops from Iraq, and urged Vice President Biden not to come back either. Biden had claimed the US withdrawal was on track in a speech with Prime Minister Maliki, but later hinted at a long term continuation of the war when speaking to US troops.
Calls are growing for a swift international response to the situation in the Middle East, as Israel continues to build new settlements in Palestinian territories with increased military actions against civilians. However, there is no sign that the 15-member Security Council intends to take any immediate measures to rejuvenate the stalled peace process led by the U.N., the United States, the European Union and Russia.
With the market for municipal bonds tumbling, cities, hospitals, schools and other public borrowers are scrambling to refinance tens of billions of dollars of debt this year, another sign that the once-safe market is under duress.
The muni bond market was hit with the latest wave of bad news Thursday, prompting a selloff that sent the market to its lowest level since the financial crisis. A New Jersey agency was forced to cut the size of a bond issue by about 40% because of mediocre demand, and pay a higher rate than expected. And mutual fund giant Vanguard Group shelved plans for three new muni bond funds, citing market turmoil.
The FBI agent’s stated the reason for inquiry was because Bowler had used a “blog to highlight claims of cronyism and corruption involving the Congressman before the southwest Missouri election in November, in which Long defeated Democrat Scott Eckersley to replace outgoing Rep. Roy Blunt.” InfoWars stated that Browler closed the blog after the election. After the inquiry the FBI agent determined that Browler was not a threat.
What was Browler’s thoughts? “I find the whole thought very funny, because I’m such an advocate for constitutional rights that I would never do anything that would put in jeopardy those constitutional rights like the Second Amendment.”

A new report from a secretive, highly influential group of scientists is urging the Department of Defense to begin collecting and mapping the full genome of all military personnel -- a move that could well give the Pentagon the ability to select for certain genetic predispositions.
As if the Pentagon wasn't sitting on enough data already, the report envisions a huge new database (more likely than not run by some massive defense contractor). "The DoD will benefit by organizing personnel data into phenotypes of relevance to the military, then correlating those phenotypes with genetic information," it says.
An Obama administration official said that nonviolent icon Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would "understand" and "recognize" the need for the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan if he were alive today.
In a speech commemorating the late hero days before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, the Department of Defense's general counsel Jeh C. Johnson imputed highly questionable views to the civil rights leader.
A local blogger who was critical of Rep. Billy Long during last year's congressional campaign has been interviewed by the FBI about his encounters with the congressman.
Given that more than 4,500 actions are now considered federal crimes, blessed are the merciful federal prosecutors, for they will be shown mercy after the revolution. This proposal guts state control of their own real estate law when the Supreme Court has repeatedly found that “dirt law” is not a Federal matter. It strips homeowners of their right to their day in court to preserve their contractual rights, namely, that only the proven mortgagee, and not a gangster, or in this case, bankster, can take possession of their home.

And God knows I can't pay you. But I need your heart. And I need your voice."
The collapse of the 23-year dictatorship, the first ever collapse of an Arab leader to a "people power" uprising rocked the world. President Zine al-Abedine Ben Ali described as a staunched Western supporter fled out of the country. Massive unemployment, media censorship, denial of access to information specifically internet and the grave corruption by the Head of state prompted the riot. They start off after, Mohamed Bouazizi, set himself ablaze on December 17 in remonstration, a young graduate who sold fruits and vegetables as a livelihood, his cart confiscated for his failure to secure proper license. He eventually died an agonising death on January 5.

Events can be predicted because human nature doesn’t change. It may be better or worse at different times, depending on whether the times contain a greater measure of light or darkness; collective, enlightened awareness as opposed to collective ignorance and superstition, however, the human experience invariably cycles through the same repetition of ‘predictable’ events. We’re cycling into one of them now.

Now is NOT the time to dial it down. It is time to turn it UP. Public opinion is decidedly against Obamacare, and we must strike now. Do not back down. Turn it up to 11. Raise the volume. Use every opportunity to continue to remind the American people why they kicked the Left out of the House and (almost) the Senate. This is NOT the time to lose a sense of urgency.

The air is filled with the noise of the Israeli F-16s, which are flying so low that it's almost like the air is trembling. You can positively feel the bombs before they fall, before they explode with a horrendous bang, that is unmistakable, with a pressure wave that breaks the windows of the houses in the whole surrounding area, and makes the walls shake miles away.
According to reliable Israeli sources in Jerusalem, the Israeli municipal authorities are awaiting an opportune time to carry out further large-scale demolitions of Arab homes in the Silwan neighbourhood. “If the government finds out that international reactions, especially US reactions, are weak as usual, then it will mean a kind of go-ahead signal for the demolitions,” said the source that was not authorised to speak to the media.

It is really heartening for the vast majority of Arab-Muslim masses to see the people of Tunisia rise up against one of the most decadent and repressive regimes in the Arab world, a regime that thought, mistakenly of course, that satisfying its benefactors in Paris and Washington, even by tormenting and savaging the people, would prolong its life span.
Arabs everywhere identified with Mohamed Bouazizi.
When the 26-year-old Tunisian graduate - despairing of getting a decent job and abused by the police - set fire to himself in a public square, his story resonated far beyond his provincial town.
When he later died of his injuries, he became both a symbol and a martyr. Now the unrest sparked by his self-immolation has led to the downfall of one of the region's longest-serving autocrats.

The League of Arabian states has just experienced its first populist revolution in modern times in Tunisia. The prime minister has announced that he is in control now that the President of the last 23 years or so has fled the nation. The nation has only experienced 2 leaders during its existence. There is a long list of national leaders who have to be looking around, wondering if they could be next. Autocratic dictators, despots and or Presidents for life have always ruled the region. This changed today when the population of Tunisia over-threw their President.
(Reuters) - Advances by China's military in cyber and anti-satellite warfare technology could challenge the ability of U.S. forces to operate in the Pacific, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Friday during a visit to Japan. ... I revealed that this alleged memorial service was a total sham, a political rally disguised as memorial service. I debuted what was to be the slogan and logo, as you can see. What’s worse, and what I will be writing about in a forthcoming post, is that Obama’s speech was a declaration of war on America, Conservatives in particular, promising a broad push on gun rights, free speech and even an expansion of government health care.
