Body scanners unveiled at JFK Airport; Homeland Security Sect. Janet Napolitano doesn't volunteer

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano yesterday hailed them as an important breakthrough for airport security and the fight against terrorism. Yet when it came to testing the devices - which produce chalky, naked X-ray images of passengers - she turned the floor over to some brave volunteers. Webmaster's Commentary:

Note that the online poll shows 80% oppose the machines, directly contradicting that single CBS "poll" still being plastered all over ABCNNBBCBSFOX trying to sell us the idea that 3/4 of Americans love getting cancer from the naked scanner machines.

TSA Opt Out Protester

South Florida Airports: Clear so far

9 a.m. -- FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL

International Airport's Terminal 1, which houses Southwest, Virgin, Frontier, and Continental Airlines, among others, there were no signs of protest or delay. In fact, during the first two hours of the predicted morning rush, there were so few delays in the C-wing of Terminal 1 that as many as four and five of the "extra" TSA workers on hand found themselves idle, with little to nothing to do.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The media (CNN as I type this) are all running stories about how fast the lines are at security and proclaiming this as proof that the National Opt-Out protest is not happening. But what they don't seem to realize (or hope you do not) is that on the Day Before Thanksgiving the lines at airports are long even under the best of circumstances. So if the airport lines are so empty that even the TSA workers are standing idle, it means people did opt-out ... of air travel entirely! That is what really happened today!

DHS & TSA: Making a list, checking it twice

The memo, which actually takes the form of an administrative directive, appears to be the product of undated but recent high level meetings between Napolitano, John Pistole, head of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA),and one or more of Obama’s national security advisors. This document officially addresses those who are opposed to, or engaged in the disruption of the implementation of the enhanced airport screening procedures as “domestic extremists.”

Webmaster's Commentary: "domestic extremists"?!?"

OK, folks: here's my deal: I am a published sacred choral composer. The most radical thing I ever do is request that singers sing an augmented 4th, period, end of discussion. I do not wish to be exposed to the body scanning machines because I understand that there are health risks attendant to this exposure. But if this is the way the "hope and change" Obama administration is going to play this, then I challenge this administration to publicly either declare martial law, or have the 4th amendment to the Constitution rescinded, that amendment which declaring that American citizens have the freedom from unreasonable search or seizure.

Otherwise, "gategrope" is illegal under US law, and is not doing a damned thing to keep travelers safer. This is all about the boatloads of cash people like Chertoff and Deepak Chopra (president of OSI) are making from the sales of these full body xray scanners, and protecting this cash chow for them at all costs, including the cost of people coming down with cancer because of exposure to these machines.

DHS & TSA: Making a list, checking it twice

The introductory paragraph of the multi-page document states that it is issued “in response to the growing public backlash against enhanced TSA security screening procedures and the agents conducting the screening process.” Implicit within the same section is that the recently enhanced security screening procedures implemented at U.S. airports, and the measures to be taken in response to the negative public backlash as detailed [in this directive], have the full support of the President. In other words, Obama not only endorses the enhanced security screening, but the measures outlined in this directive to be taken in response to public objections. Webmaster's Commentary:

We know that Obama was financially tied in with Al Gore's carbon scams. Now we need to find out of Obama is tied in financially with the Chertoff Group. Rangers? Sic em!

Afghanistan war: US says violence reaches all-time high

Violence in Afghanistan has reached an all-time high, with clashes up fourfold since 2007, the Pentagon has said. In a twice-annual report to the US Congress, the Pentagon said progress had been "uneven", with only modest gains against the Taliban insurgency. The Pentagon also reported gains in security, governance, and development in key areas.

Webmaster's Commentary: There is no military resolution possible to this conflict. Saner heads and DC and Brussels understand this. But there will be no end to this war, because the US and NATO military cannot bear to bring themselves to admit that, after almost one decade on, they are no closer to resolving this conflict than when the occupation began. So the killing, maiming, and dying will continue apace.

Janet Napolitano refuses to test naked body scanners at JFK Airport

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano yesterday hailed them as an important breakthrough for airport security and the fight against terrorism. Yet when it came to testing the devices - which produce chalky, naked X-ray images of passengers - she declined to go through the scanner turned the floor over to other volunteers. Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, print this story out and hand it to the TSA when they tell you how safe the scanners are.

Placards, kilts part of plans for scanner protests

CHICAGO – Travelers dismayed by airport body scans are headed to airports Wednesday with the makings of any good protest: handmade fliers, eye-catching placards, slogan-bearing T-shirts — and Scottish kilts. The loosely organized effort dubbed National Opt-Out Day hopes to highlight what some call unnecessarily intrusive security screenings. Others fear it will merely snarl pre-Thanksgiving airline operations on one of the busiest travel days of the year.

Passenger Hauled Off Plane For Too Many Bathroom Breaks

A passenger on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Denver was pulled off a plane Tuesday after other passengers said he was taking too many potty breaks, reports 9News.com. It's unclear if this is was classified as a terror alert yellow or brown, but authorities took it seriously enough to evacuate the plane. The U.S. Airways flight was checked by K-9 units when it landed in Denver and the unnamed passenger, reportedly of Middle Eastern descent, was detained momentarily and questioned.

PLAME/EDMONDS/AIPACGATE UPDATE: Rosen Threatens to Open Pandora's Box

About a year ago, I had reached the acceptance stage of my grief over the fact that justice would not be served and the perpetrators behind the outing of Valerie Plame, the corruption that Sibel Edmonds witnessed before the FBI fired her and the espionage at AIPAC would never pay for their crimes. The cover-up of these crimes by both the justice system and the mainstream media (MSM) put me in a depression that for six months made writing a blog seem like a waste of time. But by November of 2009, I had moved on to documenting other aspects of deep politics in the midst of a global scenario of permanently declining resources. The prospect of finding justice in a labyrinthian conspiracy I had spent the past five years documenting was not even worth entertaining anymore. One year later, that possibility is still facing astronomical odds. But there is a faint glimmer of hope; the slightest shred of a chance. This is why:

Pentagon, Military Actively War Gaming ‘Large Scale Economic Breakdown’ and ‘Civil Unrest’

For the average populace prole, however, there may not be any real assistance should something like this occur. First and foremost, any government response to an attack on our financial and economic systems will have the primary goal of maintaining order and the rule of law, as well as continuity of government. This is a given.

Peep-and-Grope (Body Scanners and Invasive Pat Downs): Coming to Subways, Trains, Boats and Federal Buildings?

For those who think that the resistance to TSA groping and naked body scanning is over-the-top, take a look at this video and these quotes.

Scanning and invasive pat downs might be a necessary evil if there were no alternatives, but there are alternatives. In fact, the alternatives would keep us safer than the peep-and-grope system we have now. For example, trained dogs can detect many dangerous items which pat downs cannot. Or you could just blow up the terrorists (please ignore the religious smear). Of course, it would help if we stop creating new terrorists. See this, this and this. But that would be bad for the handful of guys raking in big bucks from the protection racket.

Are Air Travelers Criminal Suspects?

The growing revolt against invasive TSA practices is encouraging to Americans who are fed up with federal government encroachment in their lives. In the case of air travelers, this encroachment is quite literally physical. But a deep-seated libertarian impulse still exists within the American people, and opposition to the new TSA full body scanner and groping searches is gathering momentum.

I introduced legislation last week that is based on a very simple principle: federal agents should be subject to the same laws as ordinary citizens. If you would face criminal prosecution or a lawsuit for groping someone, exposing them to unwelcome radiation, causing them emotional distress, or violating indecency laws, then TSA agents should similarly face sanctions for their actions.

P C ROBERTS: TSA GESTAPO EMPIRE

Who is cowing Americans into submission, terrorists or the TSA Gestapo? By Paul Craig Roberts With such expensive counter-terrorism activities, both in terms of the hard-pressed taxpayers’ money and civil liberties, one would think that bombs were going off all over America. But, of course, they aren’t. There has not been a successful terrorist act since 9/11, and thousands of independent experts doubt the government’s explanation of that event.

Body Scanners and Intrusive Pat Downs To Be Implemented in Train Stations, Boats and Public Transportations Systems Nationwide

Since the TSA ramped up their security measures in late October, American citizens have been subjected to the toxic naked body scanners as well as molestation at the hands of low IQ thugs. Contrary to what Janet Napolitano has publicly stated, the scanners do contain harmful radiation as outlined by numerous scientists. People such as Michael Chertoff have pushed the scanners while at the same time having huge financial holdings in the very companies that stand to make billions off of implementing the scanners worldwide.
