Danny Ayalon to Norway: Why can’t you keep your artists under control?

The Israeli government reaction to the homegrown cultural boycott of the West Bank settlement of Ariel was forceful and blunt: Threaten funding, establish a “Zionist Art Prize” and de-legitimize whoever takes part as fifth-columnists. This should not have been a surprise, coming from a government that has overseen an unprecedented assault on domestic freedom of expression and association. The campaign has been so successful locally that the Foreign Ministry is now trying it on the international stage.

TSA Tips for Travelers: Or, How to Stop Worrying and Love Letting Us Touch Your Junk

Greetings, travelers! We at the Transportation Security Administration are dedicated to making your journey as pleasant as possible. Three more banks fail, year total now at 149

U.S. in Vast Insider Trading Probe

Federal authorities, capping a three-year investigation, are preparing insider-trading charges that could ensnare consultants, investment bankers, hedge-fund and mutual-fund traders and analysts across the nation, according to people familiar with the matter.

The criminal and civil probes, which authorities say could eclipse the impact on the financial industry of any previous such investigation, are examining whether multiple insider-trading rings reaped illegal profits totaling tens of millions of dollars, the people say. Some charges could be brought before year-end, they say.

Webmaster's Commentary: This "investigation" is only a limited hangout, engineered to attempt to take the heat off public fury at the way US citizens have been conned and in some cases financially destroyed, by the actions of large financial institutions. The real criminals in the financial world will not be prosecuted.

Buying a Car a Little Harder Now: Terror Check Required For Financing

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - If you're in the market for a car, be prepared to prove you are not a terrorist. The federal government's Red Flags Rule mandates that auto dealers, banks, credit unions and other "creditors" and "financial institutions" take additional steps to prevent identity theft and fraud, beginning Jan. 1. Included in the list of so-called creditors is your family doctor.

Who fed the tiger?

Missiles fired from the Chinese mainland could destroy five of the six major U.S. air bases in the Far East. So states a new report of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, adding: "Saturation missile strikes could destroy U.S. air defenses, runways, parked aircraft, and fuel and maintenance facilities. Complicating this scenario is the future deployment of China's anti-ship ballistic missile, which could hold U.S. aircraft carriers at bay outside their normal operating range." Opposite Taiwan, China's missile force has reached 1,600.

Beijing is also building rockets, submarines and surface fleets to extend her dominance out to the third chain of islands, enabling the People's Liberation Army to strike U.S. carriers and bases as far away as Guam.

Bernanke Calls On Congress To Help The Economy -- For At Least The Fourth Time In Five Months

For at least the fourth time since June, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke publicly urged Congress to combat the lackluster recovery by increasing government spending, a recommendation that has gone unheeded by lawmakers. In a speech at a conference of central bankers in Frankfurt, Bernanke once again said the Fed cannot save the economy on its own. The Fed's recent move to add to its ballooning balance sheet by committing to buy up to $600 billion of government debt faces "limits" to its effectiveness, Bernanke said.

Webmaster's Commentary: This is not about "saving" the American economy: this is about saving the Fed itself, period, end of discussion.

What Bernanke and his minions at the Fed are doing is destroying the value of the dollar to the point where, in the not too distant future, it cannot possibly hold its position as the world's reserve currency, no matter how much weaponry and bravado the US can muster.

And any "shooting war" the US may attempt to start to enforce the status of the dollar cannot possibly be won, because the US no longer has the manufacturing infrastructure to support it; almost all of our manufacturing capabilities have been offshored.

The 19 Senators Who Voted To Censor The Internet

This is hardly a surprise but, this morning (as previously announced), the lame duck Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously voted to move forward with censoring the internet via the COICA bill -- despite a bunch of law professors explaining to them how this law is a clear violation of the First Amendment. What's really amazing is that many of the same Senators have been speaking out against internet censorship in other countries, yet they happily vote to approve it here because it's seen as a way to make many of their largest campaign contributors happy. Webmaster's Commentary:

And I note more than a few of them are famed for being Israel's pets on Capitol Hill!

Texas Governor Rick Perry calls for US troops to fight Mexico’s drug war

For a man who is supposedly not running for president, Texas Governor Rick Perry certainly has taken to the national media in recent weeks. But to be fair to reporters, he's usually full of surprises. Take Perry's Thursday appearance on MSNBC, where he suggested that US troops may soon be needed to fight the ever-escalating battle between Mexico's military and the drug cartels. Webmaster's Commentary: Texas, like many other states, is reeling under the pressure of unfunded mandates. However, I would like to caution Governor Perry that every time the US has declared "war" on any social issue, such as the "war on poverty", the situation has escalated.

When it comes to a national illegal drug policy solution, where there is a will (and some modicum of collective intelligence) there is a way. However, too much of the drug money flowing in the US gets laundered and distributed to the point that there is utterly no real will to handle this issue in a rational way.

The sane answer would to decriminalize illegal drug use, so that the profit motive crumbles. If there is no profit motive, you would see illegal drug use drop substantially.

The world has much to learn from the Portuguese model when it comes to drug laws. As reported at:

http://www.time.com/time/health/article
/0,8599,1893946,00.html

In 2001, Portugal because the first European country to decriminalize all criminal penalties for person possession of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. There is a strong emphasis on treatment, rather than incarceration, which is working very well.

Tent Cities, Homelessness And Soul-Crushing Despair: The Legacy Of Decades Of Government Debt And Mismanagement Of The Economy

For decades, our politicians have been deeply addicted to government debt, they have stood idly by as millions of our jobs have been shipped overseas and they have passed countless business-crushing regulations and they never thought that it would catch up with us. Well, it has. America has been living in the biggest debt bubble in the history of the world, and now that bubble is starting to pop.

U.S. Geithner Warns Republicans Against Politicizing the Fed

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said the Obama administration would oppose any effort to strip the Federal Reserve of its mandate to pursue full employment and warned Republicans against politicizing the central bank.

ALAN HART: NETANYAHU AND THE “DEMONIZATION” OF ISRAEL

Mr. Netanyahu, you and yours are responsible for the “demonization” of Israel -- By Alan Hart/ STAFF WRITTER When Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America recently, he was relaxed, charming and at his deluded best. For Jewish audiences which don’t want to know the truth of history, there’s nobody who can deliver Zionism’s propaganda lines and lies more effectively than him. (Though he didn’t say so, he was obviously delighted that President Obama had taken a hammering in the mid-term elections). I could take issue with Netanyahu on many of his mad assertions but on this occasion I will settle for challenging just one of them.

How the Rothschild Banksters Destroyed the United States

Satanic Psychopaths will be Satanic Psychopaths. It isn't about greed as much as it is about power. The United States has been under the Rothschild's thumb since its inception. The Bank of England took a minority interest in the first two "Banks of the United States". After a brief battle with Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln, they destroyed any hope of a free currency and established the Federal Reserve Bank and began to charge us for the privilege of using their worthless paper as our National currency.

Woodrow Wilson probably felt a twinge of remorse and ended up being "incapacitated" for the remainder of his term while his wife took over his duties as President. Who knows if he planned on turning over a new leaf. Enemies of "The Crown" often end up dead or incapacitated.

Ellen Brown: What's Really Behind Quantitative Easing QE2? The Looming Threat of a Crippling Debt Service

The deficit hawks are circling, hovering over QE2, calling it just another inflationary bank bailout. But unlike QE1, QE2 is not about saving the banks. It’s about funding the federal deficit without increasing the interest tab, something that may be necessary in this gridlocked political climate just to keep the government functioning. ...Why pay interest to foreign central banks when you can get the money nearly interest-free from your own central bank? In eight months, the Fed will own more Treasuries than China and Japan combined, making it the largest holder of government securities outside the government itself.

...QE2 is not a “helicopter drop” of money on the banks or on Main Street. It is the Fed funding the government virtually interest-free, allowing the government to do what it needs to do without driving up the interest bill on the federal debt – an interest bill that need not have existed in the first place. As Thomas Edison said, “If our nation can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good, makes the bill good, also.”

Exactly. Why pay interest to foreign central banks when you can get the money nearly interest-free from your own central bank? Now who wouldn't like that...the private banksters that keep nations in debt and loot them with interest.

IMF wants Federal Europe - more power to the centre to defend against crisis

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/financialcrisis/81479...

A federal Europe, with more sovereign power ceded to the centre, is the best defence against any future crisis, the head of the International Monetary Fund has declared.

Warning that "the sovereign crisis is not over", Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the IMF managing director and a likely French presidential candidate, called on the European Union to move responsibility for fiscal discipline and structural reform to a central body that is free from the influences of member states.

Critical Thinking Alert:
Didn't Globalisation cause these problems, and isn't the solution to move back to de centralised poliicies??

Sarkozy urged to testify to inquiry into Pakistan arms sale kickbacks

L'affaire Karachi is the most explosive corruption investigation in recent French history and the biggest scandal to personally threaten Sarkozy. The potent saga of suspect submarine sales and illegal kickbacks centres around a bomb attack in Karachi in 2002, when 15 people, including 11 French engineers, were killed in what judges believe was a retaliation attack over unpaid government bribes. The families of the French victims urged Sarkozy to testify to investigating magistrates about what he knows. "At the top of the French state there is a fear of this dossier advancing because it implicates Nicolas Sarkozy and those close to him," said Olivier Morice, the families' lawyer.

US taxpayers’ money spent on promoting democracy abroad

Selling democracy does not come cheap, as the US is spending billions of taxpayers’ dollars to finance foreign politicians and parties which fall on its side of the fence. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has spent US$9 billion on promoting Washington’s democracy initiatives. This is a new model for influencing target countries’ internal politics in favor of US interests through financing, training, support and guidance to pro-US forces in foreign countries. Another democracy promoter – the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) – received $132 million during 2009, and nearly all of it from US government agencies. But those are just the tip of the iceberg. There is an entire network of organizations involved in the democracy promotion business.

ISRAEL HAS MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR THIS THANKSGIVING!

President Obama Would Rather Kill Palestinians than Feed American Children

By Mohamed Khodr —My Catbird Seat

President Obama, your outrageous acceptance of Israel’s extortion of $3 Billion worth of F-35 fighter planes along with other security and political guarantees for the mere acceptance of a 90 day “freeze” of settlements in the West Bank, which excludes East Jerusalem, is a slap to the honor and dignity of this nation, the sole superpower. That a rogue illegitimate small war crime of a nation can bring this superpower to its knees is proof that our leaders, government, institutions, media, and academia can be bought, sold, and intimidated by a few hundred thousand rich and powerful American Jews.

Pentagon blows up thousands of homes in Afghanistan Repeating the horrors of the Vietnam War

Borrowing a page from its infamous "pacification" effort in South Vietnam, where peasant villages were napalmed and burned to the ground to "save them from the communists," the Obama-ordered surge in Afghanistan has been secretly blowing up thousands of homes and leveling portions of the Afghan countryside. As tens of thousands of U.S. troops have surged into southern Afghanistan, villagers have fled. Then the Petraeus-led occupation forces have determined which homes will be destroyed.

CONGRESSIONAL LETTER URGES OBAMA TO RELEASE SPY JONATHAN POLLARD

Pollard sold information on nuclear targets in the Soviet Union to Israel. U.S. defense sources suggest that what caused the most bitter anger against Pollard in the Pentagon and throughout the American intelligence community was the fact that the information compromised human agents in the Soviet Union and elsewhere. U.S. intelligence sources have concluded that the Israeli government bartered this information to the Soviet Union."

U.S. Bond Bubble Ready to Burst While the World Focuses Attention Elsewhere

Oregon Senator Wyden Effectively Kills Internet Censorship Bill

It's too early to say for sure, but Oregon Senator Ron Wyden could very well go down in the history books as the man who saved the Internet.

A bill that critics say would have given the government power to censor the Internet will not pass this year thanks to the Oregon Democrat, who announced his opposition during a recent committee hearing. Individual Senators can place holds on pending legislation, in this case meaning proponents of the bill will be forced to reintroduce the measure and will not be able to proceed until the next Congress convenes.

Pot Growers Portrayed As Terrorists In US Counter-Terrorism Drill

It’s becoming increasingly evident that a terrorist is anyone who isn’t a state-supremacist. If you disagree with the Almighty and Blessed Federal State, you are a terrorist.

Over at Jeff Stein’s Washington Post spy news column, an item on a counter-terrorism drill enacted by federal, state and local agencies in Northern California this Wednesday, November 17. During the exercise, participants playing the roles of local pot farmers set off bombs and took over the Shasta Dam, the nation’s second largest, to free an imprisoned comrade.

Flashback: Military Industrial Complex Prepares Mass Graves for U.S. Citizens

A usually quiet U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Cemetery, has been extremely active, with trucks and construction equipment working throughout the night. The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona is a beautiful 225 acre facility located in Phoenix.

For the past 30-45 days in the early hours of the morning until sunset, a massive construction operation has been underway. Major amounts of earth have been excavated out about 9-10 feet deep and 600-1000 feet wide. There are multiple locations on the property like this. From the satellite view, there appears to be even more sections that have been covered with the concrete lids and backfilled to look as if nothing is there.

TSA Tyranny Continues, Hands In Your Pants and So Much More

The TSA has taken their tyranny to new levels, openly breaking the law in order to push their police state security. American Citizens are being subjected to the groping of their genitals by low IQ TSA agents. A report by Fox News has indicated that there will be NO religious exemptions when it comes to invasive TSA procedures. The Transportation Security Administration says airline passengers won’t get out of body imaging screening or pat-downs based on their religious beliefs. TSA chief John Pistole told the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday that passengers who refuse to go through a full-body scanner machine and reject a pat-down won’t be allowed to board, even if they turned down the in-depth screening for religious reasons.

Whats Next? Americans Accepting Body Scanners Over Pat-Downs?

Listening to the guests on the Hannity Show tonight was interesting to say the least. The topic of the show was the naked airport body scanners, the pat-down issue, and TSA staff itself. They really are spinning this issue like it is the most dangerous thing you could ever do (fly). The two guests even suggested profiling as an option to pat-downs.
