Israel police under fire for abusing east Jerusalem children

Israeli police were accused of "flagrant violations" of the law Thursday over their harsh and at times violent treatment of Palestinian children suspected of stone-throwing in east Jerusalem.

The allegations were detailed in a letter sent to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by a group of 60 Israeli professionals, among them experts in medicine, psychology, education, social work and law -- all of whom work with children.

But Israel police flatly denied the allegations, with a spokesman telling AFP they "operate within the bounds of the law." Webmaster's Commentary: IT must make Israeli police feel sooooo butch, abusing children! What kind of monsters engage in this behavior?!?

Nine years, 50 days: US presence in Afghanistan as long as Soviet slog

The Soviet Union couldn't win in Afghanistan, and now the United States is about to have something in common with that futile campaign: nine years, 50 days.

On Friday, the U.S.-led coalition will have been fighting in this South Asian country for as long as the Soviets did in their humbling attempt to build up a socialist state. The two invasions had different goals — and dramatically different body counts — but whether they have significantly different outcomes remains to be seen. Webmaster's Commentary: The outcome from the US/NATO occupation with be just the same as it was for the old Soviet Union.

A Hedge Fund Republic?

My point was that the wealthiest plutocrats now actually control a greater share of the pie in the United States than in historically unstable countries like Nicaragua, Venezuela and Guyana. But readers protested that this was glib and unfair, and after reviewing the evidence I regretfully confess that they have a point. That’s right: I may have wronged the banana republics.

TSA X-ray machines almost certainly will Cause Testicle Cancers in Men and Brest Cancer in Women

The United States Transportation Security Administration has recently come under scrutiny for, among other things, its use of X-ray full-body scanners in airports to see through clothes and to detect non-metallic explosives. But are they safe? A group of UC-San Francisco professors recently raised a number of safety concerns regarding these scanners. While the Obama administration attempted to address these worries, its assertion that the scanners are safe appears to fall short. Webmaster's Commentary:

Just like Obama's assertion that the Gulf oil disaster "went away" July 15th.

DECEPTIONS AND OMISSIONS OF ZION

Omitting basic facts that would challenge the regime of domination, the program focused on platitudes that promoted an undefined peace, excluding any mention of justice. Typical comments from participants included: “I must see the conflict from our joint shared side.” “Our past must not determine our future.” “We should join together to make this future closer to the present.” “I want us to really live like neighbors.”

What the TSA is NOT Telling You about Full Body Scans...

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), a leading privacy group, has asked a federal appeals court to suspend the U.S. government's program of introducing full-body imaging machines at airports. According to the group, the imaging machines constitute a suspicionless search of all airport travelers in an extremely invasive way -- so invasive that it violates the reasonable standard contained in the Fourth Amendment.

French officials have compiled a list of kickbacks to politicians linked to "Karachigate", the arms-to-Pakistan scandal threatening to engulf Nicolas Sarkozy's presidency, a former French president has claimed.

Surpassing Orwell's 1984 In 2010!

Excerpt from "The United States of America Has Gone Mad" by John le Carre': "America has entered one of its periods of historical madness, but this is the worst I can remember. Worse than McCarthyism, worse than the Bay of Pigs, and in the long term potentially more disastrous than the Vietnam War.

Putin Proposes Russia-EU Union

'Ahead of his two-day visit to Germany, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has projected a vision of a 'harmonious economic community stretching from Lisbon to Vladivostok' in reaction to the economic crisis. Chancellor Angela Merkel, however, said she will "pour some cold water" on the idea. Writing in German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung on Thursday (25 November), Mr Putin argued that more integration between Russia and the EU and even a "common contintental market" would allow them to overcome the effects of the crisis and prevent a new one from emerging.

German Source: The Karlsruhe Court Decision Is a Ticking Time Bomb

A well-informed and reliable source told EIR yesterday, that the European Financial Stabilization Facility (EFSF) in Luxembourg is presently working intensely to raise funds on the financial markets using the state guarantee, which according to him is legally questionable. The head of the EFSF, Klaus Regling, also is using the interest differential among countries, which would be cynical, to say the least. Webmaster's Commentary:

The Euro, like the Dollar, is a debt-based currency printed up by the central bank and loaned to the people for use at interest. As long as larger pools of borrowers can be found, the Euro, like the Dollar, can perpetuate along, transferring the accumulating debt onto future generations. But when a generation is reached unable or unwilling to pay that accumulated debt, the whole pyramid collapses. which is what has happened here. The downfall of the push for a global economy is that the bankers created a global depression. More globalism will not repair the damage.

Intel on Iran has telling flaw

The most important intelligence documents used to argue that Iran had a covert nuclear-weapons research-and-development program in 2003 - a set of technical drawings of efforts to fit what appears to be a nuclear payload into the re-entry vehicle of Iran's medium-range ballistic missile, the Shahab-3 - turn out to have a fatal flaw: the drawings depict a re-entry vehicle that had already been abandoned by the Iranian missile program in favor of an improved model.

IRS Asked to Revoke AIPAC’s Tax Exemption

Webmaster's Commentary:

It will be interesting to watch the US Government, only a month away from the largest single tax increase on the American people in the nation's history, intercede to protect the tax-exempt status of an organization representing the interests of the nation that attacked Americans in International waters last May.

Iceland elects ordinary folk to draft constitution

The sparsely-populated volcanic island is holding an unusual election Saturday to select ordinary citizens to cobble together a new charter, an exercise in direct democracy born out of the outrage and soul-searching that followed the nation's economic meltdown.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Article 1: No private central banks.

Article 2: All government salaries permanently tied to lowest Icelandic wage.

Article 3: No borrowing that cannot be repaid within the term of the current administration.

Article 4: All voting members of the government to have their entire wealth in a blind trust during the term of office.

Article 5: Vote fraud is grounds for immediate removal from campaign, office, and a lifetime ban on further involvement with the government.

Article 6: The National Sovereignty shall not be subverted to larger globalist alliances.

Article 7: All prior claims against previous Icelandic governments are null and void.

Further recommendations to the Icelanders welcome.

If Bribery Is Illegal Everywhere...

...why aren't Goldman and the other major banks involved under indictment?

MUMBAI: Institutional investors who subscribed to the qualified institutional placement (QIP) of Money Matters Financial Services are unlikely to recover their investment in the debt syndication company anytime soon, say investment bankers . Rajesh Sharma, CMD of Money Matters, was arrested by the CBI on Wednesday for allegedly bribing bank officials to get loans sanctioned for some developers. E-mail queries to Fidelity, GMO, Goldman Sachs did not elicit any response, while Morgan Stanley said it “did not comment on market transactions”. Investors also vented their fury on shares of IIFL, the broking firm which had arranged the QIP. The IIFL stock crashed 14% to close at .Rs 92.55.

Tom Delay Convicted of Money Laundering, A Harbinger of Things to Come?

Just when you thought there was no justice left in the world (or hardly any) a Texas jury on Wednesday found ex-House Majority Leader Tom Delay guilty of money laundering. It took 19 hours but the panel of six men and six women found Delay guilty of conspiring with two associates for going around state law that bars corporate contributions to political campaigns. He faces 5 to 99 years in prison though incredibly the judge could choose probation. In any event Delay intends to appeal his conviction. Hopefully Delay's conviction will open the door to more prosecutions of other hack politicians and their corporate and special interest backers that have so completely corrupted the political process in their favor.

Shit approaching fan

Sunday shit approaching fan. South Korea and the US are having a massive military exercise on Sunday with the George Washington aircraft carrier in route as I write. The last two SK exercises have led to dead South Koreans. The North has already warned against the US/SK drills and China has even dropped into to say stay the hell out of our waters as well. So is anyone taking steps to prevent war? No. South Korea has increased its military presence and moved longer range artillery units onto Yeonpyeong. How would the US react if Russia and Cuba did mock drills of invading Florida? They probably wouldn't like it. But when North Korea fired two shots into Yeonpyeong it was after SK had a drill with 70,000 troops drilled for an mock invasion of the North.

Angela Merkel in eurozone permanent bail-out vow

Klaus Regling of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) said it was "inconceivable that the euro fails".

This is the same type of attitude that Hitler displayed when he in last trembling minutes of World War II refused to recognize the fact that the game was over. The Eurocrats hiding in their bunkers while the whole world around them crumbles.

G20 cops cleared of brutality charges because they couldn't be identified

Lying on the ground, police moved in and arrested the delivery worker. That’s when one of the officers allegedly struck him in the face, causing a fracture. The 19-year-old’s case is one of six from the June G20 summit that has been probed by Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit. On Thursday, the agency announced no charges will be laid against police officers for injuries to civilians during the G20 protests. In Latimer’s case, the agency interviewed nine witness officers from the Toronto Police Services as well a civilians. SIU director Ian Scott concluded that while there was “reasonable ground” to believe excessive force was used, they were unable to tell which officer caused his injuries.

North Korea Warns: 'Brink Of War'

YEONPYEONG ISLAND, South Korea — North Korea warned Friday that U.S.-South Korean plans for military maneuvers put the peninsula on the brink of war, and appeared to launch its own artillery drills within sight of an island it showered with a deadly barrage this week.

The fresh artillery blasts were especially defiant because they came as the U.S. commander in South Korea, Gen. Walter Sharp, toured the South Korean island to survey damage from Tuesday's hail of North Korean artillery fire that killed four people . . .

Like the Patriot Act? You’re gonna love the Food Safety Modernization Act

By Rady Ananda Down to the wire – the bill will likely be voted on this Monday, November 29. Farmers, slow food activists, natural food growers and distributors have all condemned the federal government seizing control of how food is grown and sold. Yet, every day, in corporate and first tier “alternative” media sites, support for the bill is promoted. Here’s why you shouldn’t fall for the psyops . . .

The Nation called out on attempt to smear John Tyner (don't touch my junk) as a right-wing tool

The ACLU, always fighting to protect our Constitutional Rights were right in the middle of the battle and it was one of the few victories we had against the Bush administration's march toward totalitarianism that court challenges managed to keep them out of our airports, until last year. The ACLU and its members have now, apparently, become 'rightwing trolls' 'astro-turfers' for the Koch brothers, or whatever other smears that are coming from, incredibly, the 'left'! That the Nation would sink to this level of yellow journalism, worthy of Fox News, almost makes me lose hope that there is anyone in this country, left or right, who actually cares about PRINCIPLES. Is it all about party loyalty after all?

TURKISH PM: IF WAR BROKE OUT IN THE REGION ISRAELI CITIZENS WILL SHARE LOSSES AS WELL

Erdogan, speaking before thousands in its neighboring state, called on Israel to quit acting provocatively, recant on its blunders, and apologize to the region’s people.

“We in the region will unite and grow for what’s right and for the rule of law, and we will stand in the face of the wrongdoers and in the face of the wrongdoing.” The Turkish premier assured that his country will continue to back the causes of Jerusalem and Gaza until all rights are restored.

“We will say this strongly in the face of the murderers, yes, you are murderers. Trust fully that we will raise our voices high against the tyranny, and continue to defend what’s right as long as there are people working in piracy on the high seas; and we will defend the rights of the innocent and oppressed.”

ONCE UPON A TIME …

Once upon a time, Iraq had the finest education system in the Arab world.

Once upon a time, Iraq exported its expertise in education to many countries.

Once upon a time, Iraq was considered by the UN "illiteracy free."

Once upon a time, Iraq led the Arab world in scientific development.

Once upon a time is the opening phrase of many fairy tales. In the case of Iraq, once upon a time was once true. For today’s young Iraqis, the facts are hidden from them and they may consider them to be fairy tales because their Iraq differs greatly from the one depicted here.

Currency Crisis! So What Happens If The Dollar And The Euro Both Collapse?

Some analysts are warning that the U.S. dollar is in danger of collapse because of the exploding U.S. government debt, the horrific U.S. trade deficit and the new round of quantitative easing recently announced by the Federal Reserve. Other analysts are warning the the euro is in danger of collapse because of the very serious sovereign debt crisis that is affecting nations such as Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Belgium and Spain. So what happens if the dollar and the euro both collapse? Well, it would certainly throw the current world financial order into a state of chaos, but what would emerge from the ashes? Would the nations of the world go back to using dozens of different national currencies or would we see a truly global currency emerge for the very first time?

FOX News "Freelancer" - Mark "Harley Guy" Walsh - Futurologist

Futurologist explains future 9/11 Commission Report storyline before it is written, on the morning of 9/11. Known throughout the 9/11 Truth Movement as "Harley Guy", here is the entire interview from FOX News who identifies the man as Mark Walsh, a Fox freelancer. He describes nearly word for word what would eventually become the official story of how the World Trade Center collapsed. This interview occured roughly around 11:55 the morning of 9/11, only an hour and a half after both towers had collapsed.

NBC - Dick Cheney was in White House bunker at 9:30 on 9/11

More evidence to suggest the 9/11 Commission lied about the time he arrived in the White House basement. According to the Commission, he hadn't arrived down below until 10 a.m., long after the Pentagon had been stuck at 9:37.

Why was the 9/11 Commission lied to?
[T]he official version of what had occurred that morning--that is, what government and military officials had told [us]-- was almost entirely, and inexplicably, untrue.

The TSA and the New Enemies List

The TSA and the New Enemies List
Guest Commentary be Edward Cline:
The Obama Administration means to cause as much damage as possible in the two years remaining of its existence. If that reads like a hubristic prediction, I have no better foundation for making it than the White House’s approval – nay, its encouragement – of the Transportation Security Agency’s (TSA’s) new “enhanced” security measures and procedures....Novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand noted, many years ago: "We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

'Secret society' responsible for annual burnings of Gävle's Christmas Goat

Webcam of Goat: http://www.merjuligavle.se/Bocken/Bockenkamera1/

An artist found guilty of burning down Gävle's christmas goat in 2001 now says it is a secret society that carries out the yearly act of arson - and that this group is made up of the very people who build the goat. Every year the town of Gävle builds a huge goat out of straw, and every year it burns down. Fire-retardant material and close circuit cameras have all failed to help the goat survive. Speaking to Filter magazine the American artist says that the different sports clubs that are responsible for building the goat each year are also involved in burning down the goat - and that this would even include the fire fighter's team.
