Why we write: End unlawful US wars; have justice and love

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

Independent writers explain, document, and prove what all humanity will soon recognize as “emperor has no clothes” facts: US wars are Orwellian unlawful. The following are objective facts and independently verifiable. Indeed, the facts are uncontested and therefore non-controversial by definition. Literally the one and only action between now and public embrace of factual reality is critical mass of Americans recognizing and acting upon what’s right in front of us:

•All “reasons” for war with Iraq were known to be lies as they were told. These are now the admissions of our own US government agencies.

George Donnelly We Won't Fly

I was about to delete an offensive comment on this blog – one of the very few we get – and thought, hmm, I wonder where this guy is posting from? Because, really, it is quite unusual for us to get nasty comments. Lo and behold, the troll posted to our website from an IP address controlled by the federal government’s Department of Homeland Security! Here is the taxpayer-funded troll’s gem of a comment, for your entertainment:

Metro's acceptance of 'Israeli war crimes' bus ad draws complaints

An advertisement alleging "Israeli war crimes" won't appear on the sides of some Metro Transit buses for another week, but it's already ignited a political firestorm. The Seattle Mideast Awareness Campaign, which bought the ad, says it's intended to break through what it calls the silence over Israel's mistreatment of Palestinians. Others have organized a campaign to block the ad, which they say will inflame bigotry against Jews and Jewish organizations.

Flashback: Police Mock Owners of Dogs They Executed – Exclusive Interview

The Intel Hub December 12, 2010

Sunday on The Intel Hub Radio Show Shepard interviewed Eric and his cousin who had their dogs killed during a SWAT raid by trigger happy law enforcement officials. Several topics were raised in the interview such as the fact that in some states if a police dog is killed, the suspect could serve 5 or more years in prison. There should be a more humane way that SWAT could conduct their operations to minimize harm to innocent people and animals. One suggestion that was raised in the interview was that SWAT should maintain an animal handling professional to secure such animals as soon as the house is cleared. SWAT teams are outfitted with padding and body armor.

You Are Being Warned! Freezing Temps Worldwide

This strange weather phenomenon, which you will see in the video below, happened in Newfoundland where the waves were actually frozen as they crashed on the beach. This is exactly what one would expect at the end of the warmest year on record, right? Are we freezing because of global warming? The media is still ranting that one of the effects of global warming is colder, wetter winters. Yes and building seven at the world trade center collapsed on its footprint from a burning ember? Or was it from a burning Rolls Royce engine that was catapulted from one of the planes. Was there ever a reasonable explanation for what was obviously a controlled demolition?

Central Banking 101: What the Fed Can do as “Lender of Last Resort”

We’ve seen behind the curtain, as the Fed waved its magic liquidity wand over Wall Street. Now it’s time to enlist this tool in the service of the people. The Fed’s invisible hand first really became visible with the bailout of AIG. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in June 2009:

“Many of us were, shall we say, if not surprised, taken aback when the Fed had $80 billion to invest — to put into AIG just out of the blue. All of a sudden we wake up one morning and AIG has received $80 billion from the Fed. . . . So of course we’re saying, Where’s this money come from? ‘Oh, we have it. And not only that, we have more.’” How much more — $800 billion? $8 trillion?

Now, he is positioned to do the same thing to the Internet, courtesy of Barack Obama, the guy who never made a promise he wasn’t prepared to break.

Holiday Terror Scare Tactics Shift Into High Gear

As we inch towards Christmas most of us are busy shopping and looking forward to spending the holidays with our friends and family. While Americans flock to retail stores throughout the nation, the Department of Homeland Security is busy implementing a completely different agenda. This Stazi type agency recently launched their Orwellian "see something, say something" campaign which is aimed at getting everyday American citizens to spy on their neighbors. As outrage against these ridiculous measures has continued to grow, the threat of terror has once again become an everyday mainstream media talking point. From attacking the food supply to suicide bombers, we are being lead to believe that Al Qaeda will carry out an attack in the very near future

The Secret of Oz

The history of American currency and how the European American bankers have stolen its issuance from our govt over the years, a must see. The world economy is doomed to spiral downwards until we do two things: 1) outlaw government borrowing; 2) outlaw fractional reserve lending. Banks should only be allowed to lend out money they actually have and nations do not have to run up a "National Debt". Remember: It's not what backs the money, it's who controls its quantity.

Municipal Bond Market Crash 2011: Are Dozens Of State And Local Governments About To Default On Their Debts?

In the United States, it is not just the federal government that has a horrific debt problem. Today, state and local governments across America are collectively deeper in debt than they ever have been before. In fact, state and local government debt is now sitting at an all-time high of 22 percent of U.S. GDP. Once upon a time, municipal bonds (used to fund such things as roads, sewer systems and government buildings) were viewed as incredibly safe investments. They were considered to have virtually no risk. But now all of that has changed. Many analysts are now openly speaking of the possibility of a municipal bond market crash in 2011. The truth is that dozens upon dozens of city and county governments are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Webmaster's Commentary:

The Private Central Bank system is designed to always create more debt than can be paid, in order to enslave the people. It therefore follows that no matter how hard you work, or how much you sacrifice, the government can never get out of debt. You have only two choices. Either to allow yourself and your family to be dragged down to homelessness and starvation alongside the government that voted the Federal Reserve into power, or cut your losses, stop throwing good money after bad, and let the system collapse while you still retain enough of your own wealth to start again.

Congress passes bill to help save world's sharks

WASHINGTON — Congress on Tuesday passed legislation to better protect sharks, creatures that swam the oceans before the age of dinosaurs but now are being killed by the millions for their fins, a delicacy used in a traditional Chinese soup. Conservationists called the measure a major step to save a species in trouble. They estimate that 73 million sharks are killed annually to support the shark fin trade, and that 30 percent of the world's species are threatened or nearly threatened with extinction. The loss of too many top predators can disrupt the balance of the populations of other species.

The Senate passed a bill, sponsored by Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., on Monday, and the House of Representatives passed its version with the same language Tuesday, sending it to the president's desk for his signature. Supporters anticipate that he'll sign it.

Fox Slammed by L.A. Times -- 'Shouldn't Call Itself a News Organization'

On Friday, the Los Angeles Times broke a taboo of sorts among mainstream news organizations by urging Fox News to “crack down on... partisanship in its news ranks” or ”stop pretending to be an objective news source.”

The editorial was prompted by the leak of an internal Fox News memo ordering its “reporters” to “refrain from asserting that the planet has warmed (or cooled) in any given period without IMMEDIATELY pointing out that such theories are based upon data that critics have called into question.” The memo was sent by Bill Sammon, Fox News' Washington managing editor, in 2009 and released by Media Matters last week. It's refreshing to see a leading news outlet abandon the premise that Fox is a “fair and balanced” news organization during the day, and shows its conservative slant only in its evening opinion shows. The Times editorial board noted that mainstream reporters had shrugged off an earlier memo directing Fox personnel to refer to the “public option” as a “government option” during the health-care reform debate because the phase tested poorly among viewers.

For CIA drone warriors, the future is death

Here's where The Year of the Drone merges with what the late, great deconstructionist Jacques Lacan would qualify as "the unsayable": the invisible, dangerous liaisons between the "war on terror" and the energy war, as in the topography of the war on terror matching all the key 21st-century sources of energy from the Middle East to Central Asia.

Netanyahu warns Israelis: Violence against minorities won't be tolerated

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged Israeli citizens to refrain from taking the law into their own hands against minorities and migrant workers, in a clip released Wednesday on his bureau's YouTube channel.

Webmaster's Commentary: One has to wonder whether Netanyahu appreciated the incredibly bitter irony of this statement, in light of the fact that Israel has institutionalized violence against all Palestinians, and particularly Gazan Palestinians.

Despite Goldberg’s claim to be “running a campaign on this blog against the cheap deployment of Nazi imagery in argument-making,” he does just that, stating that “it’s a fair analogy” to liken the boycott of Israeli goods to the Nazi boycott of Jewish businesses in 1933, explaining that “the BDS movement, like no other anti-Israel propaganda campaign, has sent chills down the collective Jewish spine precisely because economic boycotts have been, throughout history, used to hurt Jews.”

WikiLeaks Helps Israel Thwart Palestian Reconciliation

Senior Hamas official Salah al-Bardawil said WikiLeaks documents of Fatah leaders asking Israel to assault Hamas have prompted the resistance group in Gaza to reconsider talks with Fatah security leaders, and may mobilize judicial action for treason.

“Fatah’s denial of the documents does not concern us much. The group takes logistical support from Israel in order to eliminate the resistance movement led by Hamas since the signing of the Oslo agreements.”

“The documents which were revealed alongside the ‘peace illusions’ documents by Mohammed Haikal, revealing an Israel-Fatah agreement to strike Hamas proves that striking Hamas is the common denominator of both parties.”

Invading Pakistan? The Worst Idea Yet

Two good reporters for the New York Times, Mark Maqzzetti and Dexter Filkins, write today that the United States is preparing for send troops across the border into Pakistan in pursuit of the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and any other bad guys they can find. If there’s a worse idea, I don't know what it is.

Webmaster's Commentary: The US and NATO right now appear to be doing their level best to blame Pakistan for their collective, nearly decade-long failure in Afghanistan. The US can move from friend to enemy against any foreign nation with lightning speed, if it believes that such a move, however erratic it might seem, will meet their geopolitical objectives. This may well be happening now in the case of Pakistan. We may potentially be looking at an abrupt, bitter ending of a political and military alliance with Pakistan which suddenly transforms into a war against Pakistan.

As completely insane as such a move might seem, were I a betting human being, I would not bet against it; there are too many careers on the line over the Afghanistan debacle, and too many people who feel that "punishing Pakistan" with such an action would deflect blame away from their own catastrophic failure of vision which lead them to believe that a war in Afghanistan was militarily winnable.

Holiday Terror: Weaponized Candy Canes

According to accounts by several students, the school punished them with detention and cleanup work because the popular holiday treats pose a possible threat to others due to the ease of weaponizing the candy canes. Skylar Torbett, a junior, says he was told, “candy canes are weapons because you can sharpen them with your mouth and stab people with them.” Zakk Rhine, another member of the club, was told that the candy canes could, “maliciously maim students with the intent to injure.”

America’s Longest War Gets Worse

The war’s brutality and destruction are growing. US forces around Kandahar are blowing up or bulldozing houses, assassinating suspected Taliban sympathizers and using mass reprisals against the civilian population. Death squads are hard at work murdering those suspected of backing Taliban and opposing western occupation. Meanwhile, the Pentagon is in something of a panic over America’s longest war. How can a bunch of lightly-armed mountain tribesmen in turbans fighting only part-time battle the world’s most powerful armed forces to a standstill?

Webmaster's Commentary: The very stark reality here is that this war cannot be "won" militarily, but this is something that neither American nor NATO leadership dares utter. There will be a moment when the Afghan government creates some kind of rapprochement with the Taliban, which wants US/NATO forces out of Afghanistan ASAP. When that moment comes, the US and NATO forces will have to leave Afghanistan, and the US and other oil consortiums will need to negotiate with whatever government is left standing for the installation of the TAPI pipeline with which to control Eurasian oil.
