In an effort to crack down on child pornography, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the seizure of 10 domains as a part of a new initiative called “Operation Protect Our Children” but they also shut down 84,000 seemingly innocent sites in the process.

Wisconsin state officials began searching for 14 missing state senate Democrats who failed to show up at a floor session at the capitol in protest of Republican Gov. Scott Walker's budget bill, which continued to draw massive protests from public-employee union members on Thursday.
The state senate's sergeant at arms searched the Democrats' offices in the capitol building as a first step in locating them, according to a staff member of Republican senate leader Scott Fitzgerald. The staff member said that because of all the union protesters crowding into the capitol, the search of offices was slower than it would have been normally.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WFLI) - Many Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) high school students were not allowed through their schools' doors Monday morning. 31 high schoolers from Harrison and 41 from McCutcheon aren't allowed to go inside their high schools until they get all of their immunization shots. These students aren't up to date with their vaccines.
TSC Assistant Superintendent David Notary said it's state code that after several warnings, students can't attend school until they are up to date with their immunization shots.

On September 23 in federal court, US District Court Judge Richard Berman sentenced her to 86 years in prison - a gross miscarriage of justice, compounding her abduction, imprisonment, torture, prosecution, and conviction on bogus charges.
An innocent abused woman, she's currently imprisoned in solitary confinement at FMC Carswell, Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth, TX where her mental and physical health deteriorates.

While Wall Street is reporting record profits, local banks are floundering, credit for small businesses and consumers remains tight, and local governments are teetering on bankruptcy. There is even talk of allowing state governments to file for bankruptcy, something current legislation forbids. The federal government and Federal Reserve have managed to find trillions of dollars to prop up the Wall Street banks that precipitated the credit crisis, but they have not extended this largesse to the taxpayers and local governments that have been forced to pick up the tab.

Thanks to “just in time” inventory practices; America has an average of just three days of food on its grocery shelves. Inventories are kept extremely well managed and tight thanks to the amazing efficiency of modern-day transportation and manufacturing systems. Depending on your age, you might remember when grocery stores had excess stock and inventory in the “back room.” Those days are long gone. If the “just in time” trucks stop rolling for any reason, your local grocery store will be empty within days, and that’s even in good times!
If a disaster were to strike – natural or manmade – you could expect those shelves to be bare within hours. The recent blizzards and snowstorms blanketing the United States are a perfect example of why it pays to be prepared.
The issue is, how do you convince the general public that all is well until you are ready to unleash hyperinflation and fiscal Armageddon? How do you make them believe with all their hearts that they are not in the midst of a debt meltdown and the end of their financial sovereignty, but basking in a full-on economic recovery?!

Mubarak was oppressing and plundering his own people, he was an enemy of the Palestinians and an accomplice of Israel, the sixth nuclear power on the planet, associated with the military NATO group.
It came from a distant constellation 50,000 light years away - but its impact could be seen with the human eye. Earth has been zapped by a ‘giant flare’ which was the equivalent of half a million years of sunlight in just a fraction of a second. The financial crisis is having a direct impact on workers’ pay packets, with figures revealing more than £750 is being slashed from annual incomes.
The Office of National Statistics has revealed that wage growth has slowed to its lowest level since August, with average employees receiving a rise of only 1.8 per cent in the last three months of 2010. CAIRO - Egyptian antiquities authorities have recovered a statue of the renegade Pharaoh Akhenaten that was stolen along with eight other items during protests that brought down President Hosni Mubarak.
Minister of State for Antiquities Zahi Hawass said this week thieves had broken into the Egyptian Museum on Jan. 28 and taken eight treasures from the periods of Pharaohs Tutankhamun and Akhenaten but that three of them had been recovered.
A statement from Hawass’ ministry said a protester had found the 7 centimetre (2.8 inch) long limestone statue lying on the ground outside the museum in central Cairo during the demonstrations.
SANAA, Yemen — Several thousand Yemeni protesters defied appeals for calm from the military and the country’s most influential cleric and marched through the capital on Thursday, pressing on with their campaign to oust the U.S.-allied president.
The protesters fought off attacks by police and government supporters swinging batons and daggers. Municipal vehicles ferried sticks and stones to the pro-government side, witnesses said.
For seven straight days, protests have hit the capital, Sanaa, and other cities in the Arab world’s poorest country, a mountainous territory wracked by tribal conflicts, armed rebellion and other serious woes.

The US will be watching developments in Bahrain anxiously as it is the headquarters of the US navy's fifth fleet, which operates at least one aircraft carrier in the Gulf at all times, along with an amphibious group of ships with marines aboard.
The fleet's presence is aimed at ensuring the free flow of oil through the Gulf, as well as monitoring Iran and deterring piracy. US navy officials have said there is no sign that crowds intend to direct their hostility toward the roughly 4,200 service members who live and work there.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi says all the required fuel for Bushehr nuclear power plant has been supplied and that it is currently undergoing a test cycle.
“The reactor cap in the Bushehr plant has been shut and everything is ready to produce electricity in the near future,” Salehi told IRNA on Wednesday.
“Many important parts of the plant have already been inaugurated in the past six months and many activities have been launched. Other units are currently undergoing a test run for an eventual launch,” he added.
The former Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran noted that the plant had “very appropriate and satisfactory” progress and pointed out that Iran is in constant consultation and cooperation with the Russian side that built the plant.

This is from Press TV. An Iranian Navy official has confirmed reports that two Iranian warships are to cross the Suez Canal, a strategic international shipping route in Egypt. According to the official, the vessels are on their way to the Suez Canal. He said that the Iranian officials were in contact with officials in Cairo to secure the Iranian vessels' passage, adding that Egyptian authorities believed there was nothing wrong with the passage.
At least four protesters have been killed and about 60 gone missing after Bahraini security forces storm a protest camp in capital Manama. Bahraini police broke up a protest camp in Pearl Square in downtown Manama on Thursday and fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the protesters, a Press TV correspondent quoted an unnamed opposition lawmaker as saying. Bahraini protesters have renamed the square as Tahrir Square, after a square with a similar name in Egypt, which became the center of pro-democracy protests.
Four people were killed during the clashes, bringing to seven the total number of those killed since the protests began on Monday.

The U.S. informed Arab governments Friday that it will support a U.N. Security Council statement reaffirming that the 15-nation body "does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity," a move aimed at avoiding the prospect of having to veto a stronger Palestinian resolution calling the settlements illegal.
But the Palestinian's rejected the American offer following a meeting late Wednesdy of Arab representativs and said it is planning to press for a vote on its resolution Friday, according officials familar with the issue. The decision to reject the American offer raised the prospects that the Obama adminstration may cast its first ever veto in the U.N. Security Council.
The two navy vessels planned to sail through the canal, one of the world's busiest waterways and a vital source of foreign currency for Egypt's economy, en route to Syria, Israel said, calling it a "provocation" by the Islamic Republic.
Such navy ships have the right to pass under international law, analysts said, but noted the scenario was not the kind of diplomatic challenge the new military rulers would relish.
Egypt was the first Arab country to make peace with Israel in its 1979 treaty and is a pivotal ally of the United States in the Middle East region. The United States and Israel are arch-adversaries of Iran, an ally of Syria.
Police in Delaware remained tight lipped on Wednesday about why they returned to the home of John P. Wheeler III, the former Pentagon official whose body was found in a landfill on December 31.
Several officers from the Delaware city of Newark, the lead investigative force in the case, went to the New Castle home Tuesday, said Lt. Mark Farrall. He said the search warrant was sealed and declined to provide any details.
At this point there are no suspects in the case and no crime scene, Farrall said. Police were hopeful that a $25,000 reward established by the Wheeler family would result in helpful information. A tip line that police established at the time of the disappearance has been silent, Farrall said.
