Most taboo subject in politics #1 Holocaust (illegal to even say in some areas)

Most Taboo subjects in Politics #1 the Holocaust from Ryantineocon on Vimeo.

In no way am I supporting the Nazi party or Hitler, Fascist Italy, or Imperial Japan, or crimes from either side in WWII. I am simply pointing out that where as the losing side is rightly demonized, the same type of crimes by the allied powers are excused, blamed on their enemies, or omitted. And this allows for current powers to continue the Total War mentality TODAY.

GAME OVER BROTHER MUAMMAR

It was a classic case of a leader blinded by power, who has been around for too long, and who seemingly believes the many stories, or should we say lies, that he has fed his people for 42 unbearable years.

The Koch Brothers' End Game in Wisconsin

1) Koch Brothers get their puppet Governor Walker in power

2) Governor Walker gins up a crisis

3) Democrats and Progressives take the bait and counter-protest on collective bargaining

4) Governor Walker will compromise on collective bargaining if the rest of the budget is passed as is

5) Bill passes, with trojan horse give-a-way to the Koch Brothers nested in

6) Koch Brothers will buy Wisconsin state-owned power plants for pennies on the dollar in closed unsolicitated bids for which there will be no oversight

7) Koch Brothers get the best vertical monopoly in a generation

Press TV Covers FEMA Camps and Corruption Within FEMA

In light of the recent popular protests in various parts of the world -- particularly in Egypt -- some conspiracy theorist have hinted at the possibility of the US government using FEMA camps to hold potential protesters.

Some of these theories suggest that the government is prepared to turn FEMA camps into "concentration camps" holding "civilians" deemed a potential threat to the US government.

Such claims prompted Press TV to take a closer look at FEMA and its activities:

The Real Seti and His Boy Rameses II

Son of Ramesses I by Satre. After coming to the rule he was forced to undertake series of war campaigns to Asia and Libya. He made wars with Hittites, conquered the land of Amurru and city of Kadesh. In his 8th regnal year he made war expedition to the land of Jam in Sudan. History records of his warlike deeds add splendor to walls of many Egyptian temples. He erected magnificent temple at Abydos and a number of building structures all over Egypt, among others great hypostyle of the temple of Karnak, mortuary temples in Western Thebes and Memphis. He erected temple of Amun at Napata in Nubia, as well as in other cities. Many temples, destructed during Amarna period, were restored and covered with new reliefs and polychrome. He started building new capital of Ramessides in the Delta.

CIA link emerges in Pakistan double shooting

Pakistani officials say an American man in custody for the killing of two men in the Pakistan city of Lahore last month is a CIA agent.

In remarks bound to inflame tensions between Islamabad and Washington, a Pakistani intelligence official told a news agency Raymond Davis was working as an undercover CIA contractor when he shot two Pakistani men who he claims threatened him.

The anonymous Pakistani official reportedly said it is "beyond any shadow of a doubt" that Davis was working for the CIA.

Was the mythical King Solomon actually a telling of Ramses II?

But to return to the matter at hand. There is in fact substantial evidence - acknowledged but ignored by the mainstreamers - that the early years of rule of Ramses II were a coregency with Sethos (King David), whose daughter he married (as Solomon also married the daughter of the pharaoh). Is it not remarkable that a Jewish king is marrying into the royal "Egyptian" Pharaonic family, which allegedly was not Jewish - come on, what nonsense is that? The scholars are clueless.

Top Sunni cleric says army should kill Kadhafi

Influential Muslim cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi issued a fatwa on Monday that any Libyan soldier who can shoot dead embattled leader Moamer Kadhafi should do so "to rid Libya of him."

"Whoever in the Libyan army is able to shoot a bullet at Mr Kadhafi should do so," Qaradawi, an Egyptian-born cleric who is usually based in Qatar, told Al-Jazeera television.

He also told Libyan soldiers "not to obey orders to strike at your own people," and urged Libyan ambassadors around the world to dissociate themselves from Kadhafi's regime.

Libya defectors: Pilots told to bomb protesters flee to Malta

The Lost Pyramid of Djedefre.

The Pyramid of Djedefre consists today mostly of ruins located at Abu Rawash in Egypt. It is Egypt's most northerly pyramid, and is believed to be built by Djedefre, son and successor to king Khufu. Originally it was thought that this pyramid had never been completed, but the current archaeological consensus is that not only was it completed under Djedefre, but that it was originally about the same size as the Pyramid of Menkaure — the third largest of the Giza pyramids.[1] It is believed to have originally been the most beautiful of the pyramids, with an exterior of polished, imported granite, limestone and crowned with a large pyramidion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel's megaphonies are on overtime screaming about how Israel has always occupied the holy lands for thousands of years) they didn't; it was owned by the Selucids in 200BC as one example) and are basically telling everyone to let them steal Palestine because it never existed, Israel has always been there yadda yadda yadda yadda.

Of course, on look at the skin tone of the Ashkanzi which form the predominant Jewish population confirms Alvin Toffler's research. The Ashkenazi are not descended from the biblical Hebrews but from converted central Asian Khazars. But I digress.

We all know now that the two physical artifacts claimed to prove the existence of the fabled First Temple, the carved ivory pomegranate staff head, and the Jehoash Tablet, are both fakes. When you point out that there is actually no evidence to support the claims of the First Temple, you get this lame, "Well, it all went away, but trust us, it was really there!" This is a rather daring argument when you consider that scholars accept that the authors of the Old Testament were stealing stories form other sources to assemble their book. While such copying was accepted practice in those times, the fact is that many elements of the Torah such as the story of Noah and the Ark came from the Epic of Gilgamesh (known to have existed 600 years before Moses and a copy of which was in Pharoah's library), while archaeological evidence shows that the tale of the Exodus actually happened to the Hyksos, not the Hebrews. So the Torah is a work of fiction. That it contains actual historical references does not prove the totality of the claims made therein any more than Jim Cameron's movie "Titanic" proves there was an itinerant artist named Jack Dawson on board. It is just a story, set against a background of real events.

But as this article about The Pyramid of Djedefre underscores, even intentionally destroyed ancient buildings leave ample evidence of their existence to be found in the present time.

If there is no evidence showing the Temple of Solomon; if they had to resort to fakes to try to convince people of the reality of that Temple, then it doesn't exist and never did. Like the Exodus and the story of Noah; it is just a great fairy tale stolen from another source, most likely Egypt, because the description given for the Ark of the Covenant is a match for Egyptian temple chests. The Torah description of King Solomon's rule bears striking similarities to Ramses II! Many scholars have concluded that Moses (actually an Egyptian name meaning "Prince") is actually a re-telling of Egypt's "Heretic" Pharaoh and pioneering monotheist Amenhotep IV, or Akhenaten, Tutankhamen father.

Phase III - Hypocrisy Implodes Worldwide

Freedom needs to have her torch relit, around the planet. New governments need to be formed, and new political associations need to replace any of the so-called established "political parties" that tolerated this on-going criminal-attempt to seize so many million people worldwide. It is within our power to jail the bankers and the Wall-street-executioners of this society. We have chosen not to attempt to force the congress or the government to adhere to any of the laws they were selected to protect. But just think about what would happen if a peaceful crowd of 80 to 100,000 were to descend upon the banks and Wall Street in NYC? There has always been more than one way to end any tyranny-and we must begin to take back this country now.

America Change Your Policies in the MidEast Or Lose It

In a few days, or less, Libya will be free from the 42 year rule of the mentally unstable, psychotic, arrogant, divisive, condescending, megalomaniacal leader and self proclaimed “King of Africa.” –Muammar Al-Ghaddafi.

Unlike the deposed Tunisian and Egyptian leaders, Al Ghaddafi is despised by all other Arab tyrants, thus he’ll have no home outside of Libya unless some African nation has pity on this butcher of his people. In just 5 days he’s killed more than 300 civilians using snipers, secret police, Arab and African mercenaries, even his air force to bomb unarmed peaceful protesters

Monsanto, Dow to begin pushing dangerous 2,4-D herbicide as 'solution' to superweeds

It is something that many farmers of genetically-modified (GM) crops are already trying to do and failing to succeed in, but that the chemical companies responsible for the problem may soon be pushing as an alleged "solution." The Dow Chemical Company has sponsored a study that aims to position the 2,4-D herbicide, a popular commercial herbicide, as the solution to Roundup-resistant "superweeds." But 2,4-D-resistant "superweeds" have already begun emerging as well, which suggests that increased chemical interventions of any kind will only make the superweed problem worse, not better.

Obama’s $3.7 Trillion Budget Calls for Military Spending Increases and Deep Cuts to Social Service Programs

President Obama has unveiled a budget plan seeking to trim the federal deficit by cutting or eliminating some 200 federal programs, many dedicated to social services and education, while increasing military spending and funding for the construction of nuclear power plants. Announcing his $3.7 trillion proposal, Obama touted his previously stated pledge to freeze funding for domestic programs outside of the military for five years. Obama’s plan includes two modest tax hikes for banks and oil companies. It also calls for ending the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans in 2013 and returning the estate tax to its higher 2009 levels. For analysis of Obama’s proposed budget, we are joined by John Nichols, Washington correspondent for The Nation magazine.

Gov. Walker awakens Madison, WI

After the successful attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese Admiral Isoroko Yamamato said, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

The new Republican Governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, may want to keep those words in mind as he wages a war on Wisconsin public employees and the middle class of America. Approximately 68,000 Wisconsinites were awakened last weekend and showed up at the state capitol to protest Walker’s budget plan (see slide show).

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is not about unions or teachers or public versus private. This is about a government and banking system that sees the solution to all their self-inflicted problems as taking away something from Americans. Taking away high-paying jobs, taking away homes, taking away credit, taking away education, taking away freedom of speech, taking away privacy, and now taking away collective bargaining. Always the mantra from government and the banks remains the same, "You must make do with less, so that we may have more!" And every time the American people make do with less, to give the bankers and government more, the bankers and government, encouraged by their success, simply demand more "sacrifice."

The people of Wisconsin have drawn a line in the sand not just for teachers and not just for public workers, but for all Americans who have watched the proceeds of a lifetime of work looted to pay for Wall Street excess, the war machine, and obeisance to Israel. The people of Wisconsin, as should the entire nation, are saying, "Enough is enough. We will surrender no more. We have been pushed to edge of starvation and poverty to where fighting back is the only option that makes any sense at all."

Fed New Accounting Change Means its Impossible for the Fed to go Bankrupt!

Effective January 1, 2011, as a result of the accounting policy change, on a daily basis each Federal Reserve Bank will adjust the balance in its surplus account to equate surplus with capital paid-in and, in addition, will adjust its liability for the distribution of residual earnings to the U.S. Treasury. Previously these adjustments were made only at year-end. Adjusting the surplus account balance and the liability for the distribution of residual earnings to the U.S. Treasury is consistent with the existing requirement for daily accrual of many other items that appear in the Board's H.4.1 statistical release. The liability for the distribution of residual earnings to the U.S. Treasury will be reported as "Interest on Federal Reserve notes due to U.S. Treasury" on table 10.

Webmaster's Commentary: This means that any negative asset being held by the Fed is transferred to the US Treasury, i.e., to the American people, to keep the Fed's balance sheet positive. This includes all the fraudulent mortgage-backed securities which Wall Street was forced to buy back from defrauded investors and which were dumped on the American taxpayer under the name "toxic assets."

U.S. to expand WWII internment camp

More than 60 years after it was used to detain thousands of Japanese-Americans during World War II, the Minidoka internment camp is being expanded as part of federal preservation efforts.

The National Park Service has purchased 56 hectares to add to the existing 121-hectare historic site, the federal agency, The Conservation Fund and Idaho's congressional delegation announced Thursday. The camp originally spanned 13,355 hectares.

Webmaster's Commentary: "Federal Preservation" my ASCII! If they are adding land, it is to modernize the facility for eventual use!

Silver Crosses $34

The first very shy tick above $34 in the last 31 years is in the history books. Will soon be followed by many more. And only $16 more to go to all time nominal highs... and ~$160 to real ones. What is truly hilarious vis-a-vis claims that the dollar is a reserve currency is that in the period in which gold has risen by 2.9%, and silver, 12.3%, the DXY has dropped by 1.45%. It would be quite amusing if Schumer's push to unpeg the CNY came true, only for the US to realize that its currency is now completely irrelevant.

The Numbers Behind the Middle Eastern and North African Revolts

Webmaster's Commentary: There are a lot of statistics here, but the reality is this: when there is no meaningful work at a decent living wage, little education, no infrastructure, massive government corruption and dysfunction, you have the perfect storm for the creation of insurgency, which is what we are seeing happening around the world.

Top Ten Reasons We Should All Be Protesting

Webmaster's Commentary:

10. Because Obama and Congress are just like Wisconsin Governor Walker. They cut taxes and are pretending the budget crisis must be solved by cutting Social Security and Medicare.

9. Because the banking industry just manufactured a 'foreclosure crisis' based on fraud and illegal activities, stealing millions of people's homes, throwing them out on the streets and robbing pension funds in their scheme to bundle bad debts.

8. Because whenever there's a scandal, all we get is a "bi-partisan commission" shit sandwich. Face it- both parties are hopelessly corrupt- waiting for the next Diebold election is not the answer.

7. Because the Social Security Trust Fund was funded for the upcoming boomer years, until Clinton and Bush stole from it to pay for wars and tax cuts and now the politicians are lying to us because they don't want to pay it back.

6. Because the Government gave away Trillions to bankers so they could continue to make record profits without even ensuring they help the American people one bit, and now they are coming for your Social Security to pay for it.

5. Because your government wasted or 'lost' billions in two unnecessary wars, 'lost' 2.3 Trillion at the Pentagon and the only person that ever looked into it was fired... and they are coming for your Social Security money to pay for it.

4. Because the Government has wasted billions of dollars creating a whole new BIG Government Department of Homeland Security so they could subvert the Constitution illegally spying on US citizens. Former Homeland Security Department Chertoff is now making money x-raying your family and touching your junk at the airport.

3. Because the Government refused to even look at removing profit from health care, which is a driving force causing states to go bankrupt, as well as most personal bankruptcies in the country.

2. Because Obama was supposed to be Change We Can Believe In, and yet the wars continue at full speed, with drone strikes dramatically up, military spending is higher than ever, yet the poor and the old have to 'feel the pain' in our shared sacrifice. It's fucking bullshit!

and the Number One Reason We Should All Be Protesting

1. Because the evildoers continue to loot the nation thanks to our Congress full of Useful Idiots, with one "Representative" so stupid he thinks that Guam might tip over - ROFLYAO Video

WHY AMERICA IS RIPE FOR A REVOLUTION!

Al Jazeera signal jammed in Mideast, Libya suspected

Al Jazeera's signal across the Middle East and North Africa was plagued by jamming on Sunday, the Arab satellite broadcaster said, and Lebanon said the electronic interference was coming from Libya. Al Jazeera, whose coverage of the regional political unrest has been widely watched in the Arab world, first reported jamming on Friday and said its website had been blocked in Libya.

Food for thought for Ben

Still, Chairman Ben continues to keep his head in the sand. In a speech in Paris before the G20 late Friday, the Fed chief went out of his way to defend his bank against accusations of fanning the inflation he continues to deny really exists in the first place.

No mention of the more than $1.6 trillion in new money the Bernanke Fed has pumped out since 2009.

Yes, much to Bernanke's chagrin, inflation seems to be taking hold much sooner than he would have liked. It now looks like prices are responding faster to the Fed's policies than the labor market is. As a result, stagflation may be the painful legacy that Bernanke leaves behind.

Webmaster's Commentary: If the Fed's and Bernanke's goal was the complete gutting and destruction of the American economy, one can say, unequivocally, "mission accomplished!"

Palestinians protest at 'despicable' Obama UN veto

Around 3,000 Palestinians gathered in the West Bank on Sunday to protest against the US veto that nixed a Security Council resolution on Israeli settlements. Gaddafi under threat as revolt hits Tripoli

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's four-decade-old rule appeared in increasing jeopardy on Monday when days of anti-government protests reached the capital for the first time and security forces killed dozens of people.

Military aircraft fired live ammunition at crowds of anti-government protesters in the capital Tripoli, Al Jazeera television said on Monday quoting witnesses. No independent verification of the report was immediately available.

Residents said several cities in the east appeared to be in the hands of the opposition as protests spread from Benghazi, the cradle of a popular uprising that threatens to overthrow one of the Arab world's most entrenched governments.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is an historic first. The push for a global fascist dictatorship has triggered a global revolution. All people are seen as freedom-loving brothers and sisters, and all government as corrupt oligarchies.

Protesters In Tripoli Continue Demonstrations

There is a STILL UNCONFIRMED report that Muammar Gaddafi has stepped down leaving his son as ruler of Libya.

American Arrested in Pakistani Shooting is CIA Contractor U.S. Officials Confirm

NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND …. UNLESS IT’S A PALESTINIAN CHILD

The Israeli Forces attacked and shot rubber bullets and sound bombs at the children so they could not run away, and then proceeded to arrest 13 of them. Several army vehicles came into the area for support, attacking houses and cars to frighten people so they could not come to the children’s defense.

ATTEMPTING TO SALVAGE DEMOCRACY IN ISRAEL

“In contrast to panels set up in the past, these panels seek to deal with what is interpreted as narrowing and limiting fundamental rights of the democratic system of government, including the fundamental right to freedom of expression, freedom of protest and the freedom to organize politically, rights that are at the very heart of a democratic system of government.”

The U.S. Military Empire Meets Dictatorship in Bahrain

The widespread protests in the Middle East are bringing the ugly reality of U.S. foreign policy into the consciousness of the American people. While most Americans are sympathizing with the people who are risking their lives in resistance to tyranny, Americans are also having to face the discomforting fact that their very own government is, in large part, responsible for the tyranny that those people are opposing. Through a combination of U.S. foreign aid and U.S. foreign military bases, the U.S. government has been partnering with, cozying up to, training, and supporting the tyrannical regimes that foreign citizens are now rebelling against.

Webmaster's Commentary: What those in the bowels of power in DC pathologically fail to factor into their geopolitical calculations is very simple: when peaceful evolution is impossible, violent revolution is almost always inevitable.

One would think that those formulating US foreign policy would have understood this by now, but apparently, they do not; they are deaf, blind, and dumb to the unintended consequences of supporting any of the many tinpot dictators we have supported in the Middle East, because they are "our thugs" in the region.

'US usurping Middle East uprisings'

As popular uprisings sweep across the Middle East against US-backed tyrannical regimes, analysts say western interest groups are contributing to the protests.

Press TV interviews Mark Glenn, author and political commentator, who poses some intriguing interpretations regarding western controlling interests from the analysis of events taking place across the Middle East.

Press TV: If you were a protester in Libya, what would you be feeling hearing Gaddafi's son saying all those things (threatening a blood bath in Libya)?

These are secular popular revolts – yet everyone is blaming religion

Mubarak claimed that Islamists were behind the Egyptian revolution. Ben Ali said the same in Tunisia. King Abdullah of Jordan sees a dark and sinister hand – al-Qa'ida's hand, the Muslim Brotherhood's hand, an Islamist hand – behind the civil insurrection across the Arab world. Yesterday the Bahraini authorities discovered Hizbollah's bloody hand behind the Shia uprising there. For Hizbollah, read Iran. How on earth do well-educated if singularly undemocratic men get this thing so wrong? Confronted by a series of secular explosions – Bahrain does not quite fit into this bracket – they blame radical Islam. The Shah made an identical mistake in reverse. Confronted by an obviously Islamic uprising, he blamed it on Communists.

WHICH CONGRESSCRITTERS HAVE SOLD OUT TO ISRAEL?

Webmaster's Commentary:

We here in America are living the same nightmare as the Egyptians, and the West Bank Palestinians. We are all dealing with governments who are working for a foreign power called Israel. The Egyptians have shown gonads Americans only dream of (not counting the people in Wisconsin) and it looks like the West Bank Palestinians will soon mirror their Gazan brothers and sisters and take a stand for freedom.

When will America do the same?

No government can serve two masters. A government that serves Israel cannot serve the American people.

America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third.

Saudi Arabia says it's ready to help Bahrain's rulers

Settlement vote veto: Obama’s astonishing admission on Israel

“In explaining the veto decision, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, denounced the ‘illegitimacy’ of the settlements and stressed that Obama agreed with the resolution’s sponsors but had to oppose it for political reasons.”

This is a precedent-setting admission to the whole world that the Israel Lobby controls the United States administration, and that President Obama is being forced by Israel to do things he doesn’t want to do.

And as for the American public, if this event doesn’t conclusively demonstrate that their economy and foreign policy have been hijacked for the benefit of a foreign power, then nothing will.

Egypt is no longer committed to an alliance with Israel against Iran

There is growing concern in Israel that Egypt will become a hostile front, adding to the feeling of international isolation which has only intensified since Benjamin Netanyahu became prime minister.

Huh? Lieberman Volte-face on Kill Switch

Full-time Israeli citizen and part-time US senator Joseph Lieberman, the man who virtually singlehandedly conceived and spearheaded the the Net Kill Switch bill, suddenly does a volte-face and now wants to “take away the president's power to shut off the Internet.” Really. Smacks of a tactical regroup in the face of mounting opposition. Something’s rotten in the state of Denmark; standby for a new more devious maneuver busily in the making. Given what’s sweeping across the ME (and Wisconsin?), they’re going to need more than a kill switch...

The Bonus Army

The Senate was voting on the bill already passed by the House to immediately give the vets their bonus money. By dusk, 10,000 marchers crowded the Capitol grounds expectantly awaiting the outcome. Walter Waters, leader of the Bonus Expeditionary Force, appeared with bad news. The Senate had defeated the bill by a vote of 62 to 18. The crowd reacted with stunned silence. "Sing America and go back to your billets" he commanded, and they did. A silent "Death March" began in front of the Capitol and lasted until July 17, when Congress adjourned.

Confessions of an Economic Hit Man-Interview

Lew Rockwell asks John Perkins how he was seduced into being a top agent doing the dirty work of the CIA and the National Security Agency.

Wine, women, and song hooked John into a life he came to regret. Corruption, coups and assassinations finally compelled him to blow the whistle on the rapacious way global geopolitics serve the interests of the empire’s big corporations, leaving people and nations in conflict and debt. Going public with the complete ugly story is John’s only life insurance policy, so that he doesn’t end up taken out by the jackals, like some Central American friends of his.

Bahrain – an uprising on the verge of revolution

This miniature sultanist kingdom is not yet experiencing a revolution. The uprising of the country's 70 per cent – or is it 80 per cent? – Shia population is more a civil rights movement than a mass of republican rebels, but Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa had better meet their demands quickly if he doesn't want an insurrection.

Indeed, the calls for an end to the entire 200-year-old Khalifa family rule in Bahrain are growing way ahead of the original aims of this explosion of anger: an elected prime minister, a constitutional monarchy, an end to discrimination.

Bloodbath Failed: Libya’s Pro-West Regime at a Loss for Answers

Something else is growing, the sense of inevitability. When Saif al-Islam Gadhafi (Moammar’s son) took to the air of the state media today, it was an act that positively reeked of desperation. Claims that the protesters were all drunk are just silly, as are the claims that their fall would mean a US occupation. The comments about needing passports to go from Baghrazi to Tripoli were a tacit admission that the government has lost all control over East Libya. With Tripoli now seeing protests too, they are clearly on the way out.

The beatings in Tunisia failed. The stalling tactics in Egypt failed. Now the massacre strategy in Libya has failed (and is failing in Bahrain as well). The tyrants have officially run out of tricks, and the public calls for real change must win out.

Report: Libya air force bombs protesters heading for army base

Libyan military aircraft fired live ammunition at crowds of anti-government protesters in Tripoli, Al Jazeera television reported on Monday, quoting witnesses for its information.

No independent verification of the report was immediately available.

The protesters were reportedly heading to the army base to obtain ammunition of their own, but witnesses said the air force bombed the demonstrators before they could get there.

Webmaster's Commentary: If Al Jazeera is reporting this as having happened, it has most likely has happened. Bombing one's own people to stay in power is making Gaddafi appear to be the tyrant he is, and however this resolves itself, this unspeakable act of savagery against the Libyan people will never be forgotten or, ultimately, unaddressed.

BREAKING: Libyan Air Force massacres Tripoli – the Beast is thrashing as it dies

Disturbing reports have just come out of Libya through Al Jazeera that the Gaddafi Regime is using fighter jets to suppress protests in Tripoli.

Philip Brennan Al Jazeera have confirmed reports that fighter jets are being used against civilians in Tripoli. So far today, 61 fatalities have been confirmed in the western city, and the death toll is definitely going to rise rapidly with the use of such military hardware...

U.S. to boost naval forces as China develops carrier: admiral

The U.S. navy will continue to upgrade its military capabilities in the Pacific given its steadfast commitment to the region, a U.S. vice admiral said on Monday, while urging China's growing navy to avoid provocation.

China's swelling defense budgets, rapid development of advanced systems including aircraft carriers and anti-satellite missiles, and its growing naval aggression in bordering seas, have unnerved regional neighbors and the United States in recent years.

Webmaster's Commentary: As reported on 3 April, 2010 at:

China's defense budget to grow 7.5% in 2010: spokesman

"China plans to increase its defense budget by 7.5 percent in 2010, only about half of last year's planned growth of 14.9 percent, a parliament spokesman said here on Thursday.

The planned defense budget is 532.115 billion yuan (about 78 billion U.S. dollars), a rise of about 37 billion yuan from last year's defense expenditure, Li Zhaoxing, spokesman for the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), told a press conference."

As reported 7 May 2009 at:

http://www.defense.gov/releases
/release.aspx?releaseid=12652

"President Barack Obama today sent to Congress a proposed defense budget of $663.8 billion for fiscal 2010. The budget request for the Department of Defense (DoD) includes $533.8 billion in discretionary budget authority to fund base defense programs and $130 billion to support overseas contingency operations, primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan."

"The proposed DoD base budget represents an increase of $20.5 billion over the $513.3 billion enacted for fiscal 2009. This is an increase of 4 percent, or 2.1 percent real growth after adjusting for inflation."

If there is any country which needs to discuss the economic and geopolitical implications of "....swelling defense budgets, rapid development of advanced systems including aircraft carriers and anti-satellite missiles..." and its aggressions around the world (including two occupations which are going horrifically badly), that would be the US; not China!

FLASHBACK - Israeli document: Gaza blockade isn't about security but about punishing Gazans for electing HAMAS

As Israel ordered a slight easing of its blockade of the Gaza Strip Wednesday, McClatchy obtained an Israeli government document that describes the blockade not as a security measure but as "economic warfare" against the Islamist group Hamas, which rules the Palestinian territory.

Israel imposed severe restrictions on Gaza in June 2007, after Hamas won elections and took control of the coastal enclave after winning elections there the previous year, and the government has long said that the aim of the blockade is to stem the flow of weapons to militants in Gaza.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is exactly what the USSR tried to do to West Berlin. The US did not stand for that then, why do they sit silently by and allow it to happen now?

Egypt to open Gaza borders in both directions Tuesday

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip can travel everywhere through Egypt starting from Tuesday, an official from Gaza’s Hamas government said Sunday.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Egypt informed Hamas that Rafah crossing point will be open in both directions, a few days after it has been open for people trapped in Egypt. An average of 300 Palestinians would be allowed to leave Gaza via Rafah everyday, the official added.

Hamas authorities on the crossing started receiving applications from travelers to control the flow towards the border, especially as the crossing had been closed since the revolt started in Egypt in January.

Webmaster's Commentary:

According to Ha'Aretz, Iran's training ships are already through the Suez canal, which means Israel has missed its chance to start a war to retake the Sinai and continue the starvation blockade of Gaza. The blockade is broken,. Gaza is free from those would would hold them slaves.

North Korea Nuclear Test Likely: Reports

North Korea is digging tunnels at a site where it has launched two nuclear tests, suggesting it is preparing a third, the South's Yonhap news agency said on Sunday.

Tensions rose on the divided peninsula when 46 sailors were killed in an attack in March on a South Korean naval vessel. North Korea, which has denied responsibility, shelled the southern island of Yeonpyeong in November, killing four people and sparking fears of possible all-out war.

The North was excavating several tunnels before picking the most suitable, Yonhap said, citing an unnamed South Korean government source.

Webmaster's Commentary: Unfortunately, courtesy of its invasion and occupation of Iraq, the US created a very clear object lesson as to what happens to a country without a nuclear deterrent. And talks this year broke down, as reported on 10 February, 2011 at:

http://www.wgntv.com/news/la-fg-korea-talks-20110210,0,2807390.story

because:

'North Korea also refused to take responsibility for the March sinking of torpedo attack on a South Korean warship that killed 46 crewmen. Pyongyang has denied any involvement in the sinking, but a report by a commission of international experts concluded that a North Korea submarine fired a torpedo at the Cheonan"

What North Korea wants is a reasonable treaty, with which to replace the armistice which ended the military confrontation of the Korean War: for over the half-century since those hostilities ended, there has never been a peace treaty.

North Korea wants guarantees of security, and the right to trade in order to resurrect its moribund economy.

But unless South Korea and the US are willing to negotiate in good faith, this will never happen. China is delighted to see its client state tweaking the US's nose in this situation: and while we may not be looking at a full-out war between North and South Korea (because that would involve a nuclear armed China and a nuclear armed US), we may well be looking at continued escalation of hostilities between North and South Korea.

Iran says its warships completed Suez Canal crossing

Iran's state broadcaster says vessels reach Mediterranean, despite recent reports that the controversial crossing, the first since 1979, would only take place later this week.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran's ships are not a provocation. They have as much right to sail their ships in international waters as anyone else.

I mean, it's not like they shot up a humanitarian aid flotilla or anything tacky like that!

Clashes in Tripoli

Emerging reports early Feb. 21 indicate the unrest in Libya is spreading from eastern Libya to the capital of Tripoli. According to initial reports, heavy gunfire was heard in central Tripoli and in other districts, with Al Jazeera reporting 61 people killed in Tripoli on Feb. 21.

US economics: One big Ponzi scheme

Thank you, Bernie, for breaking your silence - even if you are still clinging to that cover-up mode you adopted since you took the entirety of the blame for your crimes.

What is clear is that ripping off the rich is punished far more severely than ripping off the poor. The lengthy sentence you were given spared countless other greedsters and goniffs from facing the music - what music there is.

In an interview - with a reporter from The New York Times who is writing a book to cash in on a man who has already cashed out - we learn, in the vaguest terms, that Mr M believes the banks he did his crooked business with "should have known" his figures did not figure. Keeping with the deceit that has served him well over the years, he names no names.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The entire Federal Reserve system is a giant Ponzi scheme because from the moment that first pretty-printed piece of paper goes into circulation, more money is owed the central bankers than is actually in existence. As long as ever-larger pools of new borrowers can be found to allow creation of new money to pay the interest on the old money, the system will kite itself along. But the debt always exceeds all available money. As soon as that larger pool of borrowers fails to materialize, the pyramid comes crashing down, which is what is happening right now.

Virtually everything the Federal reserve does today was a death-penalty crime under the original laws of the United States. That we were sold into slavery in 1913 by a corrupt Congress and President is obvious. The only question is, will you continue to be a slave or not.

Libya Protests: Dozens Killed As Anti-Gaddafi Protests Continue

Libya's unrest spread to the capital Tripoli on Sunday after scores of protesters were killed in the second city Benghazi, which appeared to have slipped out of control of forces loyal to strongman Muammar Gaddafi.

Gaddafi has attempted to put down protests with a violent crackdown, triggering some of the worst bloodshed in the two months since unrest began sweeping across the Arab world.

Webmaster's Commentary: However this situation resolves itself, it will not go well for Gaddafi or his family. One does not turn on one's people, ordering their massacre (including women and children), and not get some kind of significant repercussions from these actions.

IRAN THE DANGER TO WORLD PEACE? I DON'T THINK SO!

Since the 1979 Iranian revolution and the downfall of the US Puppet Ruler the Shah, Iran has been an Islamic state. In that interval of time, 1979 to the present, Iran has not invaded anyone. Not once. People of all religions live in peace in Iran, even Jews, who find life so comfortable in Iran they refused an offer by the government of Israel to emigrate!

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel's megaphonies are out in force today trying to sell the idea that Iran is a danger to world peace requiring American kids to die in another war for Israel. But the history of the region clearly shows who are the real peacemakers and who the real lovers of war. Please post this article everywhere you see propaganda that tries to make Iran seem like an enemy we "must" destroy!

Revolution on the Water, Revolution in the Air.

It’s a given that Israel is doing everything she can with money stolen from the American taxpayer to see that the revolutions turn out her way. I suspect it’s going to be hard to implement pro-Israel policy with the populations in a state of such volatility. One thing that is certain is that everyone in the region hates Israel and there are more good reasons for that than I have time or virtual paper upon which to record them

Webmaster's Commentary:

This last weekend my wife and I got out to the north shore tourist areas, just get outside so our eyes can get used to seeing objects further away than the computer screen kind of thing, and everywhere we went people (especially the tourists fresh from their TSA crotch-grope) are openly talking about the need for an Egypt-style revolution here in the US to dislodge the Federal Reserve and the Israel Firsters from our backs. No nervous laughter, no trying to make like it is a joke; the discussions are serious and straightforward. I have seen this coming for 16 years now, but to see it so real and present in everyday life was still a bit of a shock.

Globalists Seek To Hijack Middle East Revolution To Topple Iran

While the current global revolt sweeping across the Middle East and North Africa is born out of a universal human cry for freedom, food security and a decent standard of living, it is important to understand that the global elite are waiting in the wings to exploit the chaos as an opportunity to re-order the geopolitical landscape in their image, particularly by exploiting the demonstrations as a vehicle through which to weaken and topple the Iranian government.

History of Egypt-Videos

Many thanks to Real News for having the presence of mind to get some of the history of the Middle East and Egypt in particular so that those of us who were not around to see the events happen and have to rely on a text full of biased and incomplete information from which to gain any understanding of how we got where we are today. I haven't to be old enough to remember Farouk and his overthrow , and every subsequent event. I also remember when Israel became a country and how. The common perception of the history is superficial at best, and largely revisionist. As was noted by a Famous authority on dueling once said , " the man lying dead on the floor is always in the wrong." That is the way our histories are written. The loser is always wrong in the winners text books.

Collective Bargaining as a Human Right

The right to bargain collectively with an employer enhances the human dignity, liberty and autonomy of workers by giving them the opportunity to influence the establishment of workplace rules and thereby gain some control over a major aspect of their lives, namely their work… Collective bargaining is not simply an instrument for pursuing external ends…rather [it] is intrinsically valuable as an experience in self-government… Collective bargaining permits workers to achieve a form of workplace democracy and to ensure the rule of law in the workplace. Workers gain a voice to influence the establishment of rules that control a major aspect of their lives.

Pakistan intelligence says US gunman is CIA

ISLAMABAD (AFP) – A Pakistani intelligence official said Monday that an American in custody for killing two men was an undercover CIA contractor, in remarks likely to inflame a crisis with the United States.

Washington insists that Raymond Davis, who says he acted in self-defence, is a member of its Islamabad embassy's "administrative and technical staff" who has diplomatic immunity and should be released immediately.

But the unpopular government in Pakistan is under huge pressure from the political opposition not to cave in to US demands, with analysts even warning that the case could bring down the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP)

NUREDDIN SABIR : “Turning against Mu’ammar Gaddafi of Libya”

“For most of my life I have been mistaken about Gaddafi and his regime… I owe it to our martyrs, to the dead and dying all over Libya … to say I am sorry, to say that I have been wrong, that I have been a fool ever to give Gaddafi and his regime the benefit of doubt for so long.”

However, one cannot live in denial forever. To be sure, the absence of a decent, credible Libyan opposition did little to speed up my awakening. For many years, the choice was Gaddafi, the Islamists or the ultra-reactionary, super-rich monarchists. There were no – and as far as I am aware, there still are not – any significant, progressive, democratic Libyan opposition. For many years, therefore, my choice had to be Gaddafi, warts and all.

Libya arrests Arab 'network' for destabilising country

Libyan authorities have arrested dozens of members of a "network" of Arab nationals allegedly seeking to destabilise the country, the official Jana news agency reported Saturday.

Sources close to the investigation, quoted by the agency, said the group included Tunisian, Egyptian, Sudanese, Palestinian, Syrian and Turkish citizens.
