Man admits he lied to FBI to frame associates as terrorists
A man who lied to the FBI to frame several associates as a terrorists pleaded guilty Thursday to making false statements to officials. Syed Omair Ali, 25, of Queens, admitted that he contacted the FBI last May to alert them to an effort underway to launch a terror attack against New York City with the help of radical operatives based in Pakistan. Ali falsely told agents that these associates had "ties with the tribal guys back in Karachi, Pakistan," and were planning to travel there to be trained in insurgency tactics and then return to New York to commit a terror strike.

VINDICATION AFTER 30 YEARS! - Viking Found Organics on Mars, Experiment Confirms
More than 30 years after NASA's Viking landers found no evidence for organic materials on Mars, scientists say a new experiment on Mars-like soil shows Viking did, in fact, hit pay dirt.
The new study was prompted by the August 2008 discovery of powerful oxygen-busting compounds known as perchlorates at the landing site of another Mars probe called Phoenix.
Scientists repeated a key Viking experiment using perchlorate-enhanced soil from Chile's Atacama Desert, which is considered one of the driest and most Mars-like places on Earth, and found telltale fingerprints of combusted organics -- the same chemicals Viking scientists dismissed as contaminants from Earth.
Well, I hate to say I told you so .... no, actually, I rather like it. And in this case I deserve a good gloat, and I shall not be denied. :) Back in 1976 the Viking Landers carried two different experiments to detect life. The first took a sample of Martian soil and dropped it into a generic nutrient solution tagged with a radioactive isotope and waited for radioactive gas to be released by metabolic processes. This experiment showed a positive result for a while, then the reaction faded away. The second experiment was an organic mass spectrometer that heated a sample of Martian soil to cause large organic molecules to leave the soil and be drawn into a mass spectrometer, but unlike the inorganic mass spectrometer the heat was kept low enough to not cause the molecules themselves to come apart. This experiment returned a negative for the organic molecules it was designed to detect. NASA was faced with one positive and one negative result, and the positive result appeared to be fading. Most of us sitting at those consoles were convinced the positive needed to be given priority. NASA was under a huge amount of public pressure over the issue of life on Mars. In particular the Buy-bull bangers were adamant that there could not possibly be life on Mars because the Bible did not mention it, and life on other planets meant Earth was not special in the eyes of whatever gods were being prayed to. Some of the controllers were getting death threats from fanatics like the Children of God. The post-Apollo "New" NASA was already entrenched. The scientists with the PhDs were no longer in control, but political appointees with MBAs ran the show, and so a political decision was made to ignore the positive result, rely on the negative, and declare that Viking had not found any life on Mars at all. That placated the masses at what we all felt was the expense of the truth. That was then and this is now. And even before today's announcement, other scientists had confirmed that our results did indeed show evidence of life. We did it, we got there first, and because Viking was sterilized prior to launch, what we found is unquestionably indigenous to Mars; something later probes can never be certain of since probes after Viking were not sterilized. I wag my finger mightily at the "New" NASA management and at the buy-bull bangers they knuckled under to. The forces that would take us back to the Dark Ages in a world lit only by fire and ruled by myths and legends of gods and demons were flat-out wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong! They should stick to molesting children and leave the science to the rational humans. NASA'S decision to allow politics to trump the science is why NASA lost two shuttles and is today caught in the lies of the Climategate scandal. It has been thirty years. Today we are vindicated.

Wheeler: Private eye questions if death was murder
A PROMINENT Philadelphia crime sleuth is speculating that the region's high-profile murder mystery - the shocking discovery of ex-Pentagon official John "Jack" Wheeler III in a Wilmington landfill - might not be a murder at all.
William Fleisher, an ex-cop who co-founded Philadelphia's murder-solving Vidocq Society, said that the discovery of eyewitnesses and surveillance video of a disoriented Wheeler before he died suggests that the 66-year-old man had suffered a head or brain injury.
And that apparent disorientation, Fleisher speculated, could have caused Wheeler to voluntarily crawl into a trash Dumpster - either seeking shelter, as happens sometimes among the homeless, or perhaps looking for his reportedly lost papers.
Washington National Airport (DCA) Approach and Landing
I found this during yet another debate with yet another of the "pod people" still pushing the kool-aid that something other than Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon and that even though hundreds of witnesses saw the 757 approach the Pentagon, somehow the 757 was flown away from the Pentagon without anybody seeing it. This is highly improbable. As this video shows, the normal approach into Reagan National Airport is from the north. We know from the FDR that Flight 77 was on a heading of 61 at the moment of impact, flying from the west southwest towards the east northeast. The altimeter readings the pod people like to point to are from the aneroid (pressure) altimeter, and unless our hijackers are updating the local barometric offsets, we can expect those readings to accumulate a large error over time. So we can ignore the indicated altitude. Now, flying at 488 knots (from the FDR at moment of impact) and a rated 757 stall speed of 250 knots (from Boeing), and assuming a really expert pilot who could execute and hold a 70 degree bank yields a turning diameter (the room needed to turn the plane completely around) of just under three miles. Now, look at this aerial image of the Pentagon and the Reagan Airport. Had Flight 77, approaching from the west southwest at 488 knots, overflown the Pentagon rather than crash into it, it would have then flown right through the approach paths into Reagan National Airport. Pilots on approach (take-offs had been banned but planes in the air were still landing) would have seen the 757 on a very NON-standard path through the TCA as would have the approach controllers. No amount of turning possible could have prevented it, nor prevented the 757 form then continuing out over Washington DC itself, where it surely would have been seen by thousands.

Finally, even if there were an executed trust agreement with the required schedule, U.S. Bank failed to furnish any evidence that the entity assigning the mortgage--Structured Asset Securities Corporation--ever held the mortgage to be assigned. The last assignment of the mortgage on record was from Rose Mortgage to Option One; nothing was submitted to the judge indicating that Option One ever assigned the mortgage to anyone before the foreclosure sale. [FN19] Thus, based on the documents submitted to the judge, Option One, not U.S. Bank, was the mortgage holder at the time of the foreclosure, and U.S. Bank did not have the authority to foreclose the mortgage.
I rather doubt this will get much coverage on ABCNNBBCBSFOX because it will give other victims of the banks in other states "bad" ideas. And while many may celebrate that this is the end of the bankers' wealth confiscation, I have no doubt that the banks will scream for more taxpayer-funded bailouts, and no doubt the US Congress will comply.
One way or the other, the banks will steal your money to save themselves from their gambling debts.
