The attack originated from an IP address in Iran, according to a statement from Comodo Inc.
Comodo, of Jersey City, New Jersey, said, in a statement on its Web page, that an attacker was able to obtain the user name and password of a Comodo Registration Authority (RA) based in Southern Europe and issue the fraudulent certificates. The company said the hack did not extend to its root keys or intermediate certificate authorities, but did constitute a serious security incident that warranted attention.

Japanese authorities discovered more leafy vegetables and water contaminated by radiation on Wednesday, nearly two weeks after a quake-hit nuclear plant went on alert.
Prime Minister Naoto Kan warned consumers across the country against eating a wide range of leafy vegetables harvested in Fukushima Prefecture, including broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and spinach. Local authorities in Tokyo said Wednesday that iodine exceeding permissible levels for infants has been detected in tap water in northern Tokyo, adding to concerns over contamination from the stricken Fukushima Daiichi plant.

International airstrikes forced Moammar Gadhafi’s tanks to roll back from the western city of Misrata on Wednesday, a local doctor said, giving respite to civilians who have endured more than a week of attacks and a punishing blockade. Some 60 to 70 German troops participating in NATO-operated AWACS surveillance operations in the Mediterranean would also be withdrawn, according to the ministry.
With U.N. coalition forces bombarding Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi from the sea and air, the United States’ part in the operation could ultimately hit several billion dollars -- and require the Pentagon to request emergency funding from Congress to pay for it.
Vice Premier Silvan Shalom on Wednesday said the situation in Gaza was reminiscent of the run-up Operation Cast Lead in 2009. Three Grad rockets, several Kassam rockets and dozens of mortar shells have been fired into Israeli territory in recent days.
"We may have to consider a return to that operation," Shalom told Israel Radio. "I say this despite the fact that I know such a thing would, of course, bring the region to a far more combustible situation."

Of course, nobody really knows who is firing these rockets just when Israel needs an excuse to go back into Gaza, but like the murdered family at Itamar (killed by an Asian worker they cheated out of his pay), these things by default are blamed on the Palestinians for political reasons.
Given Israel's long history of the false-flag attack as a tool of statecraft, the most likely situation is that Israel's agents-provocateurs are firing these mortars and rockets in order to frame the Palestinians, just as Israeli agents in Egypt bombed British and American assets and framed the Egyptians, or how Israel attacked and tried to sink the USS Liberty, again in order to frame Egypt. It is just how Israel does these things.

Last night Israel launched airstrikes on six targets in Gaza, wounding at least 19 people, including seven children and two women. From Reuters: "Radiation at the crippled Fukushima No.2 nuclear reactor was recorded at the highest level since the start of the crisis, Japan's nuclear safety agency said on Wednesday. An agency spokesman said 500 millisieverts per hour of radiation was measured at the No.2 unit on Wednesday. Electric Power Co. said Wednesday it has observed a neutron beam, a kind of radioactive ray, 13 times on the premises of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant after it was crippled by the massive March 11 quake-tsunami disaster.

The word "beam" may be a mistranslation or simply a poor choice of words, but what the article is saying is that neutrons are being detected emitting from the ruined reactors at Fukushima. This means fission reactions are taking place inside the reactor cores and/or the spent fuel rods.
The degree of enrichment of the uranium is not high enough to cause an explosion, and even if the plutonium content of the MOX fuel and spent rods were to separate out in the slag, absent a compression device it too cannot explode. However, a runaway fission reaction is the worst-case scenario leading to a real melt down and "China Syndrome." Of course the fissioning slag from the Fukushima reactors will not dig through the Earth, but will only get as far as the water table, at which point there will be a steam explosion (may have already happened at Reactor 3) blasting the radioactive debris up into the atmosphere. Even without a steam explosion, there will be no way to keep the toxic products of a fission melt down from leaching into the Pacific Ocean.

BP and the government of Libya have a lucrative deal searching for offshore oil. “BP signed a deal worth at least $900 million in 2007 to explore in Libya. It said it would monitor the situation on a daily basis and could not confirm when work would start again, but stressed that offshore operations in the region were still open and the closure would not impact oil production,” the Associated Press reported as hostilities broke out between the government and protesters.
“BP has 15 billion pounds worth of investments in Libya,” Galloway instructed the corporate media teleprompter reader, “so don’t pretend it is not a big deal.”
The BP angle is of course not mentioned when the Pentagon script readers here in the States go on ad nauseam about humanitarianism and disinfecting Libya of Gaddafi the thug.

The Bolivian President and a Russian political leader have launched a campaign to revoke Obama's honour after the US attacked Libya. Liberal Democratic Party of Russia leader and Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky released a statement today calling for the Nobel Prize Committee to take back the honour bestowed on US President Barack Obama in 2009. Zhirinovsky said the attacks were "another outrageous act of aggression by NATO forces and, in particular, the United States," and that the attacks demonstrated a "colonial policy" with "one goal: to establish control over Libyan oil and the Libyan regime." He said the prize was now hypocritical as a result.
The United States is showing a cold response to Pakistan's efforts in seeking its apology over last week's drone attack that targeted a tribal peace congregation in North Waziristan Agency, in which at least 41 innocent people were killed.

After reading his account, you will wonder, why do they keep on sprinkling water on the reactors, rather than accept the sarcophagus solution [ie., entombing the reactors in concrete. Editors.] I think there are a couple of answers. One, those reactors were expensive, and they just can't bear the idea of that huge a financial loss. Rep. Kucinich is willing to speak more truth about the US government's agenda in the Middle East and North Africa. However, is not willing to speak the entire truth. I have an idea that needs about 300 or more people in Gaza to make it happen. I propose Palestinians and internationals lie down in a massive field or the beach and form a human chain that spells out “NO FLY ZONE OVER PALESTINE”. Then we take a picture of this from above and use that picture to demand an end to Israeli Air Force terrorism. The stark hypocrisy of the West pretending to care about Libyans with there oil grubbing NO FLY ZONE OVER LIBYA while doing absolutely nothing to stop Israeli mass murder of Palestinians is beyond unacceptable.
The French strikes against Libya are not a French operation, but a subcontracting component of Odyssey Dawn Operation under the authority of U.S. AfriCom. Their objective is not to rescue Libyan civilians, but to serve as a pretext to pave the way for the landing of U.S. forces on the Black continent, notes Thierry Meyssan.
